Amanda began to chant loudly in an old language. Blue light began to form around them while her eyes glowed green. As she chanted louder, the blue light grew brighter. The hybrids stopped and shielded their eyes with their hands as if the light was affecting them.

I hadn't even said anything when Leroy's voice floated in clearly from the other end of the line. "I was just kidding, Mandy. I didn't think you'd really call Caleb about it.
