Forest Green

Forest Green

Joshua, who's voice seem shaken, said softly to me. I looked at where Joshua was looking. The television. 'Flight APTX 4869 has crashed, no survivors found.' "What?" I looked at Joshua once again and this time, I had a better angle of his face. He was crying. And it seemed like he had been crying for the past few hours. "Wait, what?" I said once more, this time looking at Caleb. "I am so sorry." He whispered, hugging me tightly. Something in my body is aching. I don't know which part. It just feels like a thousand paper cuts all over my body. And then I started crying. But for what, exactly? It's done. I can't do anything.

CALENDULA

CALENDULA

She was terrified when she saw several people watching her, especially they all looked like they were in a group of masher men. "Don't worry, I will protect you!" whispered Eric right in Reya's ear who felt goosebumps at this. Reya nodded her head, she didn't understand what the four of them would do in here. She thought he had just come to sit down to look at his three friends, but he was wrong, Lilo ordered several kinds of bottles of alcohol to decorate their empty table. Whiskey, Vodka, Wine, and Brandy, which of these four alcohols have fairly high alcohol content.

Ashes and Rose Petals

Ashes and Rose Petals

Tim’s apartment was gorgeous and spacious. It was on the top floor of a luxury apartment building that overlooked a golf course, so the view out Ella’s window--the guest room that he insisted she could claim for as long as she wanted or needed to--was beautiful. Trees bloomed in vibrant shades of red, white, and pink, with floral bushes surrounding their trunks. Beyond them, a rolling field of green filled her view. The sky was still blue, though twilight was falling, and she could see the first stars pinning themselves above her where the night and day had rolled together to make a soft, inky blue.

Fated: The First

Fated: The First

I asked, looking at the fruit in my hand uncertain of how safe it was for me to consume. “Ambrosia.” Nyx stated causing me to gasp. “Um, isn’t this the stuff that traps mortals in other realms?” I grimaced. The two goddesses erupted in laughter. I sat, holding the ambrosia away from my body, a look of confusion across my face. “You mortals.” Mab gasped, wiping a tear from her cheek. “You will believe anything. This is perfectly safe for you. We just didn’t want our favorite treat eaten into extinction.”

HE IS LUCIFER

HE IS LUCIFER

Answered the Troll, somewhat feeling useless for not being able to provide the king with what he needed. Ambrosia has already caught the scent of flowers; he was kind of excited going this way because he remembered the old woman from years ago who told them that his master’s mate was a fairy. He could not wait to see what happens when he meets someone who loves flowers and smelled sweet when he hated flowers this much.

I am on chapter 21, so far it’s a good story and I plan on reading the entire book. But I have to mention the amount of grammar and spelling (mostly the spelling) errors detract from the storyline. Sometimes you have to reread something so it makes sense. Overall good though.

Nightshade

Nightshade

Margaret was waiting for us in the kitchen with three packed bags when I arrived. "Food, water, basic medical supplies and this...." She pressed something into my hand. A vial of silver liquid that seemed to glow faintly in the predawn light. "It's wolfsbane extract. Diluted enough that it won't hurt you but strong enough to deter rogues. Don't use it unless absolutely necessary." "Where did you get this?" I asked staring at the vial. "Beat you don't know." Margaret's expression was grim. "Just promise me you'll be careful. The neutral territories are extremely dangerous. They're not like pack lands."

Ashes of the Sky

Ashes of the Sky

The rest of the group follows as we make our way closer to the fire. She reaches for an a piece of ember bark that sits in a bowl near the fire. Lyra takes a deep breath, and throws the ember bark into the fire. "I'm afraid I will never be enough." she says so softly I almost don't hear her. The ember bark burns so brightly I have to look away. My gaze collides with Callan who has a blonde sitting comfortably on his lap. Something ugly burns in my stomach. I force myself to look away, and direct my attention back to the fire. My thoughts begin to spin as I try to settle on what fear I'm going to give up.

The Queen's Heir

The Queen's Heir

Hera smiled as she wiped her daughter's chin with a clean cloth from her pocket. "Maybe we'll pick enough to take some back with us - I'm sure we could all use a taste of mortal goodness back on Olympus." Apollo had stopped playing his lyre and was examining a row of herbs growing along the edge of the garden - fragrant basil, rosemary, and thyme that filled the air with their distinctive scents. "These would make wonderful additions to ambrosia," he mused thoughtfully. "The mortals understand how to bring out the best in each plant, how to help them grow strong and flavorful."

Master of Justice, Slave to Desire

Then again, I couldn’t really contradict her, as I’d felt firsthand how refreshing and rejuvenating his baths could be… “It’s not ordinary water, little Muse,” Corvus crowed, still comfortable on my shoulder. “It’s infused with ambrosia, the drink of the gods. With oil from the very first tree Gaia herself created. It heals and restores anyone who drinks or bathes in it.” That--- explained sooooo much! The way back passed almost peacefully. We passed one of the many gardens on our way, and Nyx enthusiastically showed me a crystal flower that only bloomed if you sang to it. Which – if I’d ever doubted it – only sealed the fact that I for sure wasn’t on Earth an

Picking Up an Alpha King

Picking Up an Alpha King

I whispered, feeling dubious of his suggestion. "There's an herb native to this area only, Juliana. It's strong enough to put them all into comas if they ingest it." Chasel crouched to the floor and began to draw in the dirt with his finger. I joined him, squatting down. "It's shaped like this, and it has a tinge of emerald or chartreuse green on the very edges. Like Sambucus, the majority is so dark green that it almost appears black. The plant is also known as 'Black Beauty'."
