My eyes go wide as they land on the beautiful amethyst crystal pendant that is set in gold with a gold chain. “Den, this is beautiful” she smiles. “It is a location gem, so if you ever need me just hold the gem and say my name it will let me know you need me and where you are” she explains, my eyes tear up, she has always been the big sister I never had. I throw my arms around her again.

Everly’s POV The Goddess was right. I needed Avril to be here. She and I were connected in some way. We were both given a curse just so the Pantheon could give us some of their power. I had thought I was the only one. But my wolf’s sister was here in the flesh. My wolf was spinning around. “We are gemstone wolves.” I explain to Avril. “The Goddess choses to give us gifts, but every gift must come with a price. For you, you can see visions, but you’re blind.”

Once the gem was in my head, I took notice of the milky green color on it, curiously staring at the gem as I tried to figure out what it was, but I’ve never seen this color before. Turning my attention to Jess and everyone else, passing the gem over to Mr. Sapping, to see if he can figure it out. “This beautiful gem is an amazonite.”, he tells us. “Interesting, I’ve never seen an amazonite this color before.”, I say as I take it back.

Instead, it pierced through the bigger one and was stuck on the floor, intact. On top of it sat several small crystals, each one shining under the candlelight. I leaned down, curious, and reached out to touch one. It was pale pink and smooth, like it had been polished over and over. It felt cool against my fingers, almost like it was humming very softly. Next to it was a small card, handwritten in neat, curly letters. Rose Quartz – For love and comfort I blinked and looked at the others. Amethyst – For calm and clarity Obsidian – For protection

“It’s beauty might just be what we need to get rescued. Red quartz crystals are rare, and hold powerful magic. Come on, let’s try to get some.” They found an outcropping near the eastern wall and were able to dislodge a few large crystals. There was a small ledge here, and they sat for a moment, marveling at its beauty. He took a small piece in his hand, murmured a few words and opened his hand to her. A delicate necklace made of leather lay on his hand. He had conjured it into a tiny braid woven with the red crystals. “Wear this amulet always. It will offer you protection from evil and guide you to the pure.” With that he slipped it over her head, and she noticed a much plainer one

he drew up a curtain to reveal a large mirror, then he turned my seat to it. "Geez," I whispered, my fingers shivering as I touched the necklace. It was simple yet detailed. At the tips were fine touches of purple gemstones. "The purple color is from my amethyst precious stones." He commented. "Ian," Tears welled up in my eyes. "Hey, come on, babe. Why are you crying now?" I could not speak anymore, I just stood up and hugged him tightly, my head resting on his shoulder. "You didn't choose the design I thought you would pick. This was the simplest." He was rubbing my back, trying to comfort me.

They were the same color as her favorite semi-precious stones, amethysts. These stones represented wisdom and peace, they were used to protect against negative energies and to fight against anxiety, fear and anger, and whenever she felt alone and distressed by her powers, she had the habit to take an amethyst stone in her hand, which she always kept on her bedside table, and looked at it until she felt better. Carol, after making the introductions, didn't seem to realize that these two were staring at each other more than what was necessary, and even if she had noticed it, she would have imputed it to curiosity.

Amethyst huffed, pointing to the horns on her head that were standing firmly tall. Her eyes ran throughout the room and unconsciously fell on the fantastically decorated objects of different names, in every corner of the room. It was dark, though a couple of scented candles stood up to cast their beautiful light. Getting up from the bed, Amethyst's bare feet touched the black rug that abruptly calmed her down through its soft wool. "Demon's Domain!?" Amethyst questioned, landing her eyes on the gothic-designed casement window— that was the source for her sights to catch the glimpse of the incredibly tall trees that were only found in Demon's Domain.

I must have heeded their advice because I can’t look back and remember ever taking the dang thing off. As I stare at the necklace in my hand, I swear I see something within it begin to move as the sun above me, makes it look like it is glowing. My eyes focus on the moonstone as it begins to get brighter with every second that I hold it in my hands. I see what I am looking for as it looks like a speckle within it is pulsating like a dainty little heart beating. As I watch the small fragment within the stone pulsate I feel a surge of what I can only explain as a surge of energy rush through me, making my nerve endings feel like they are tingling.
