Standing on her doorstep, in full glamorous glory despite the early hour, was Ali—arms crossed, brows raised, and lips pursed like she was ready for war.
Before Lara could even greet her, Ali marched in.
“Good morning to you too,” Lara said dryly, closing the door behind her.
Ali spun around dramatically, dropped onto the couch, and placed her phone down on the coffee table, screen facing up.
“Okay. What is this, Lara?” she demanded. “Care to explain?”
