Half demon and half angel…kinda like me but not entirely," he stated. Frowning Phil glared at him. "Why don't the demons just kill us outright?" He questioned sourly. "Numbers, I imagine. Why kill when you can recruit." He surmised, causing Phil to huff. Gian wandered over to his dad's side and looked down at Phil. "Is he your friend, daddy?" The boy asked. Both Faelon and Phil glanced at each other and Faelon nodded.

"Yes, yes!" Angel screamed, her fingernails elongating into claws as she dragged her fingers over the rug, leaving deep gouges in the expensive material. Still Layon continued until he heard her panting as though she couldn't take much more. I whispered to the angel. "What is she, exactly?" Sam asked, breaking my peaceful moment. "We don't know." Adrian answered. "She could well be a hybrid." He added, his voice tense. I stood up straight, letting Elle have her baby back again, and walked around the bed to Sam. "Are there no other children like her?" I asked with a frown. Surely, a demon and a human would have had unprotected sex before and produced a child. On instinct, Sam grasped my hand when I reached him, and pulled me close.

Through my blurred vision, I catch his wolf looking right at me. If I didn't know better, I would think he feels my pain. But this is the sadist alpha. He has no feelings whatsoever.
