Rearing back on its massive hind legs, its featureless brass head tilted downward, its jaw splitting open to reveal a massive, high-pressure liquid-aether nozzle designed to flush the shaft with superheated slag. Before the mechanical nozzle could ignite, the beast lunged, its massive brass weight descending directly toward the space we occupied.

She stood and quickly came closer to the bars. "It doesn't!" His tone surprised her but he could smell fear seeping from her pores, smelling of burnt plastic. "Then why don't you kill me and get it over with! Hybrids are a species condemned to death anyway for being an abomination." She stared into his black eyes for a moment, they reminded her of an onyx.

I ask. He nods. “The blood ritual. He wanted to try it out on someone first, in case it killed them, so he used me and Morana. As you can see, it took with me. I woke immediately, but Morana didn't. We thought for a long time that he had killed her. She was out for days. When she woke, she was a vampire. She had the hybrid abilities, same as me. No aversion to the sun and could shift when she wanted but she was still not a wolf. She is just a vampire, I guess. To be honest, we aren't really sure what to define her as.”

Stephan looked at Kram and Kram nodded his head to him, allowing him to send the message. "There is a prophecy," Stephan paused for a while and Abu could see the fear in his eyes. He sharpened his gazes at him and asked, "What is the prophecy about?" Stephan took a deep breath and braced himself, "There once a prophecy that there would be an angel who will soon mate a vampire and will bear a vampire-angel hybrid, who will multiply their lineage and will create a massive war among all creatures and all will fight for life and death."

As they all say down on the various seats in the sitting room Allegra began her speech.
