The next morning, Angelina woke up to the disturbing sound of a dog barking incessantly. Yawning and stretching her limbs, she sat up on the bed that felt so strangely comfortable. Bed? Comfortable?! Angelina instantly opened her groggy eyes as wide as she could. Where on earth had she gotten a bed to lie on, a very comfortable one at that? With a frown on her gorgeous face, she scanned her eyes all around the unfamiliar surrounding and it was only when they fell on a bookshelf filled with medical books that everything that happened in the past few days came flooding back to her.

Angelina protested as she and Alex went into the other room. "Angelina, tell me the truth, have you met Camila before?" asked Alex, ignoring Angelina's cries of protest. "Why?" asked Angelina not wanting to directly answer Alex's question. "Just answer, Angelina!" "Yes, I did meet her before I left for college. She's a cunning and heartless girl. She deliberately threatened me to get away from you so that she could get back into your arms. She said all that openly, do you think I'll just keep quiet?" Angelina answered Alex's question with a stifled cry.

Angela grunted. "Agreed, let's just get this crap over and done with. If anything weird happens, you do you," Alinta replied to her wolf. "Yeah saving our arses as usual," Angela huffed, ready to shift at any moment. Alinta speedily snatched the books from Bellinor and made her way to the reception desk. She quickly scanned the books under his name but froze when one of the titles caught her off guard.

Celina replied too quickly. Annoyed that he had to bring up the girl's name. "What do you mean she's not here?" West asked, confused. Greg sighed inwardly. He had seen enough of Mr West's daughters for tonight and made to politely tell him that he would meet her some other time when... "Ah, there she is." West said, obviously excited at seeing his third daughter. Sighing again, Greg absently turned to see whoever she was. Time stood still and his breath got caught in his chest when he beheld the angelic young woman that paused on the stairs some distance away from them, her eyes scanning the room looking for someone...looking for him, he wished, to his own surprise.

Angel insisted “Me either, it’s just something I have heard over the years and I had to meet the Queen as I never thought we would have 1 in my lifetime” Angel tells him how she had never anticipated being a Luna let alone a Queen but she wanted to do a good job. He seems impressed with her and has said he will spread the word of how gracious and wonderful the Queen is once this battle is won. She smiles and I am happy that she has been accepted by yet another pack. Not that they could deny the moon goddess and her choice. However I am ready to be alone with my mate. I have a promise of my own to keep and a happy ending I have been waiting all day for.

The three Betas soon noticed that Angelicca was staring at someone. They followed the direction of her gaze. Their eyes eventually landed on the Omega slave. The moment the slave realized that all three Betas were now looking directly at her, her anxiety intensified. For a moment, the entire dining area fell into an uncomfortable silence. Then Angelicca finally spoke, “Why did you put poison in my drink?”

Until I reached a door. Ancient. Locked. But the moment my fingers brushed against it— It opened. Luca was right behind me, tension radiating from him. “Angelina, wait—” But I was already stepping inside. The chamber was small. Circular. At its center stood a pedestal, and on it— A book. Old, bound in leather, its pages yellowed with age. And yet, as I reached for it, the symbols on its cover glowed. Recognition slammed into me.

Luke points out. We all laugh at his comment. He is right. My angel is not a girlie girl. She has no problem getting dressed up but only if there is a reason to.
