Things just went from bad to worse in seconds, this wasn’t what I wanted. Literally, I was sweating like crazy---- my forehead, underarm and laps were dripping. It was as if I had just committed a crime and was about to be arrested for it, but this is way worse than a crime, this is torment.

It seemed like this room was useless. I walked to a book closest to me and opened it. 'Details about The God of Emotions.' Was the title. This would've been useful if I didn't already have all the information on all Gods and Goddesses. I set it down and rubbed the spines of all the books as I walked past them. They were brittle. I picked up another book. 'Details on teleporting." It read causing me to snap. I threw the book across the small room. I closed my eyes and tried to tell myself this was fine. Five books later and my anger was beyond tangible. You could feel the anger coming off of me.

Zoe I hung my head in despair and didn’t bother to acknowledge his comment. Not only did I just lose the people who raised me a few months ago, but I lost the last thing they gave me while they were alive. English was the last family member I knowingly had, and I wasn’t sure how I would make it without him. In a way, English was like an emotional support dog. I head over to where Angel is lounging in a hammock and climb up beside her. The hammock is extremely soft. I lay down in it, propping the book up on my knees. “What book is that?” Angel asks me, peering over at the cover. “The History of Dragons,” I tell her, and she looks at me funny. “Why would you need that? What don’t you know about your own kind?” she scoffs. I sigh. “Everything.”

Angie said, flashing Aurora a heart sign and then pulling out her phone. Just as Aurora reached the door, Angie suddenly let out a loud exclamation. Aurora turned around. "What happened?" "That damn author actually insulted me!" Angie shouted. Aurora walked over to the bed. "What are you talking about?" "I've been reading a novel for the past few months, and it's written so poorly it drives me crazy. I've been insulting the author for months, and now the author dared to insult me back! This is too much!" Angie replied angrily.

“Quiet doesn’t mean unbothered. Just good at hiding it.” We fell into silence. The only sound was distant thunder rumbling above ground. I wondered how long we’d be down here. Minutes stretched. My mind wandered to how close he was. How alone we were. “Tell me something,” I said finally. “Why’d you become a librarian? You don’t seem like the type who likes being stuck behind a desk all day.” Mr. Kane exhaled softly. “Books don’t talk back. They don’t expect small talk. I like the order. And the stories. What about you? History major with a focus on obscure trade? That’s not common.”

His voice was deliciously deep with a very thick accent. It rumbled in very inappropriate places which were, sadly my lady bids.
