His Ex Mistress, His Enemy

His Ex Mistress, His Enemy

A bowl of fruit sat on top, not just for show. The next room stretched wider, framed by glass walls from floor to ceiling, opening to a backyard soaked in rain. Outside, I caught faint outlines of a small treehouse, a wooden swing, and a narrow path that disappeared into the trees. The low chairs looked carelessly placed but somehow aesthetic. In the far corner, a tall, slim wooden shelf stood filled with random books: a few classics, a couple of old thrillers, and— I stopped. I tilted my head and moved closer.

Hello guys, my connection’s finally back to normal! I’m so sorry once again—the storm really messed things up and the recent chapters weren’t as good as I wanted them to be. I’ve already re-edited the previous chapters that had errors, but my editor hasn’t confirmed the updates yet. Please bear with

The Dark Below

The Dark Below

The once innocent lad is now at the ripe age of ten years old and for five years, learning and living under the headmaster’s world. Within the smallest of rooms and on the bottom floor rest a space that has been lived in for nearly five years. There are two cots on opposite ends of the squared-off chamber and on each end right by the beds are a pair of twin desks. These davenports have been through endless generations of usages it seems. The top of the wooden surface has tally marks and names carved inside the framework. By the looks of it, a knife did most of the work. Its legs are thick and provide a foundation for the four legs to hold up the endless weight of others' subsequent life duri

HOW I TAMED THE PLAY BOY

okay?" "It's not in exactly the same place, but essentially—yes." "It's not in exactly the same place." "You mean exactly not?" I said to her, "Well, you had three Clare books on the nightstand when I was here before," and she confirmed that this was indeed the case. "There are now only two, and a book by Bracken has been added to the collection. Previously, there was a brown shirt draped over the rocker arm; however, there are now jeans in that spot. The lid of the hamper was previously propped open, and instead of a necklace, there were hoop earrings on the dresser. There was homework for English next to your computer, not biology, and there were two pencils with it rather than a pen. Add

Xavier's Surrogate

Xavier's Surrogate

Tall shelves that almost reached the high ceilings, stocked up with books of different colors and ages, there were at least fifteen to twenty rows of tall wooden shelves which led Halle to believe that the library was the biggest room in Stone Manor. There were so many books, hake knew that she wouldn’t be able to finish everything in her lifetime. To think such a beauty was in this mansion but they all kept her away. Halle walked in further, her face covered in glee and excitement. At the far end between the first and second shelves, there was a large mahogany desk, a slightly thick stack of files rested on the desk along with an eye-catching golden paperweight, and then a familiar laptop.

Banged Three Daddies To Hurt My Ex

Banged Three Daddies To Hurt My Ex

I observe. "We coordinate everything now." He leads me down a hallway to hiss bedroom. It's exactly what I'd expect from Harvey—dark, modern, and minimalist. Charcoal walls, black furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. No personal touches, no photos, nothing that reveals the man who lives here except for one thing. A shelf of books. Old ones, worn spines. Classics mixed with philosophy and poetry. "You read," I say, surprised. "Is that shocking?"

The Goddess Warrior

The Goddess Warrior

The air smelled faintly of old parchment and polished wood, a rich, comforting scent that spoke of history and knowledge. Rows upon rows of bookshelves stretched toward the ceiling, filled with ancient tomes, modern texts, and carefully preserved manuscripts. Some shelves displayed artifacts behind locked glass cases—ornate relics, weapons, and strange objects that seemed to hum with unseen energy. Soft light from overhead fixtures cast a warm glow, illuminating the objects and creating dancing shadows between the stacks.

THE PREGNANT SHE WOLF

THE PREGNANT SHE WOLF

SHARON’S POV I never imagined I would step foot into the royal library for anything other than sneaking in to read fantasy novels I had no business touching. The irony wasn’t lost on me as I sat at the long mahogany table now, a stack of heavy history books in front of me, none of which had dragons, witches, or star-crossed lovers on the covers. The head historian, Elder Marcellus, cleared his throat for what felt like the hundredth time. The man was ancient, his white beard reached almost to his stomach, and he had the habit of adjusting his spectacles every two sentences even when they didn’t need adjusting.

Entangled With The Bad Boy

AVA Why am I so damn short? Okay, no, I’m not short. I’m an inch taller than my best friend. It’s just these stupid bookshelves that are freakishly high up. Classes are over for the day, and now I am doing my volunteer hours in the library, which apparently includes wrestling with shelves clearly made for giants. I’ve been trying to slot these damn books in for the past ten minutes, stretching so hard I’m on my tiptoes and still, my hand barely brushes the edge.

Pretending with the Billionaire

Pretending with the Billionaire

I scoured the classical novels section, hoping it was just out of place. Nothing. I felt surprised. I didn’t lose books. I had managed to keep every book in its place for the last five years and I was not about to break my record today. I heard the library doors open but I didn’t bother to leave the classical novels section to greet whomever had entered. I had already retrieved my step stool and was practically hanging off the top shelf trying to find the missing book when I heard an unfamiliar voice say my name. “Mia?” The voice said.
