Not again. I was angry, the angriest I’d ever been. I felt the anger at my throat, like her choking me was the least of my problems. Anger surged through me. I put my hands on her chest, hoping to push her off me with all my strength. I screamed, the sound ripping from the deepest part of me. That scream was like a cry, letting go of all the frustration building up over the last few days. But it did more than that. When it happened, it left me baffled.

Not just am I able to breathe, but the soreness of my throat I’ve been feeling ever since yesterday has disappeared too. Instead of the excruciating pain, the sore throat, and the lack of oxygen, something else is taking over my body right now. Deep and all-consuming anger and hatred. Right now, I feel like burning this entire place to the ground and everyone inside it with it. My wolf growls in appreciation of those thoughts. My blood boils, my breathing accelerates, and my heartbeat increases to a rate that my chest hurts. “You need to calm down," John tells me, while his arms wrap tightly around my violently shaking body.

I catch a glimpse of Aiden wiping a tear from the corner of his eye, doing it quietly so nobody else notices. “She’s still hot as fuck, though,” Marcus says with a smirk. My blood boils, and Thor surfaces in my mind. A growl tears from my throat, making Aiden and Marcus look at me in confusion. Thor is raging inside my head, and I’m struggling to keep control. My voice comes out deep and forceful as he pushes forward. “If I see you looking at her, or touching her again, I will rip out your eyes and cut off your hands,” Thor snarls. It shocks me how dark he sounds.

Anger flares inside my chest as hatred fills my bones even though my heart can't get the signal because it continues to beat faster. What the hell!

It surged outward violently, thick and oppressive, flooding the air like an invisible storm. The pressure immediately forced Thor down to one knee before me. Even though he was fighting it.

I know what it means; he is allowing his men to put their filthy paws on something that doesn't belong to me. "Accchh!" I scream, my claws digging into my chest because tearing out my heart would be better than feeling this every day. Thor is howling in agony, the burn quickly consuming my soul before stopping suddenly, a less-than-subtle reminder of the predicament I find myself in. Why Goddess? 'When we finally get our hands on that fucking bastard,' Thor roars in my head, my fist numb while it repeatedly smashes into the wall, not caring about the blood or broken hand, knowing it'll be healed by tomorrow.
