Sunlight came in through the half-drawn blinds and outside, I could see part of the courtyard, pack members moving about, some carrying tools, others practicing maneuvers on their bikes. And then I saw her. Not Sheila. Reese. She was walking across the open grounds, dressed in her usual simple jeans and top, hair pulled back, and an expression that looked... distant. Focused. She wasn’t heading toward the training ring. Her path led straight past it and toward the dunes, the edge of the desert. My brow furrowed. “What the hell is she doing?” Felix followed my line of sight. “Who?” “Reese,” I muttered. “Heading straight for the sands.”

She knew that face from somewhere the uneasy feeling she got from staring at her made her feel she and her had a bone to pick. “Hey, it’s happening on a Friday night let’s go see it, what do you say?” He turned to look at her and noticed how intently she was looking at Eileen. “Silver stars? Were you a fan too?” He asked and Rosa shook her head. “I just feel she looks very familiar” Rosa responded. “Yeah, she’s a celebrity” he responded. “Aside that I feel like we know each other, I just have this uneasy feeling that we know each other” she insisted.

Reese’s P.O.V. The sun hung high in the clear blue sky as Caleb and I strolled along the sandy shore, our footsteps leaving imprints behind us. It had been four weeks since Caleb had returned, four incredible weeks, making it so that at this point, the holiday season was in full swing. The sunny skies and warm water at my feet a stark contrast to the white winter wonderland I had grown up with as a child, but I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as I experienced my first Christmas in sunny Florida.

The safehouse loomed ahead: a squat, empty building on the edge of town, its windows boarded over, forgotten by everyone — except the ones who needed forgetting most. Reiley coasted into the alley behind it, parking beneath the skeletal remains of an old fire escape. She killed the engine and sat there for a moment, gripping the steering wheel so hard her knuckles went white. "You’re okay," she whispered again, as much to herself as to Althea. She climbed out into the rain, unbuckled the baby with frantic fingers, and pulled her close against her chest. Althea fussed weakly, then settled, her tiny body warm and alive against Reiley’s heart.

"Don't think like that, don't go there, sweetheart, Snow is going to be fine and you're going to be fine.” *** Yay! Baby snow is here 🤭 🤭 🤭 complication or no complications. Rowell asked. “Stop it, Rowell,” Rosie said in a rather happy tone. “Stop it, Rowell,” Reese imitated Rosie’s speaking manner and voice. Billie laughs with them. “Looks like another one’s happy today. Ah…I’m envious right now,” Rowell said. Reese looked at Rosie and shook her head discreetly. The day’s about to end but Billie is still in the mood. His energy is the same as this morning. “Come with me, Billie. Let’s check this new bar they’re talking about,” Rowell said.

The R Bar has a rustic homey feel to it. The waitress comes over to take their order. “Two hurricanes and two shots of top-shelf tequila,” Reese says. “Sounds great,” the waitress says and walks away to get their drinks. “So what is it you need to tell me away from everyone?” Kat says. “Let us wait on the drinks,” Reese says. “Great. Now I am terrified,” Kat says.

And she thought that Sorren will treat her sweetly, the way he did to Harriet. “Come in,” Sorren allowed. Reese opened the door and came inside the office. She saw Sorren sitting on the couch, with two teacups on the table. “Good morning, grandpa. I heard from my father that you wanted to see me. That’s why I came now.” Unlike Reese’ cheerful greeting, Sorren nonchalantly pointed the empty couch beside him and said, “That’s right. Sit down.” Even so, Reese kept the smile on her lips as she perched down.

Sunny, dressed in an elegant white dress, was preparing floral tea for them. "Caroline, you still haven't told us what's really going on between you and Sebastian," Sheila took a sip of tea, giving Caroline a meaningful look. Hearing there was gossip, everyone's eyes lit up as they turned to Caroline. Sunny had been seeing plenty of previews and behind-the-scenes clips lately. She was already a fan of Sebastian, but now she was a full-fledged CP fan of Caroline and Sebastian. "Caroline, the drama hasn't even aired, and everyone's shipping you two like crazy. Are you guys actually together?"

Chapter 8: New Beginnings The sun shone brightly through the windows, casting a warm glow over the apartment. Reese woke up feeling refreshed and energized, the excitement of the previous day still buzzing in her veins. She rolled over to see Chelsea stirring in her bed, a sleepy smile spreading across her face. "Morning," Chelsea mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "Morning," Reese replied, swinging her legs over the side of the bed. "Today's the day. You've got a meeting with Valerie, Liam's secretary."
