CHAPTER 54 (Warning: Contains Triggering and Sensitive scenes) TAHIRA'S POV I was too dazed and shocked to turn back to the creature that was growling behind me. In all my existence, I never thought I would bear such a dangerous and angry growl which sent my whole body frozen and brought bumps from my skin. I could even scent my fear on the air It was so obvious that it was huge and it was really obvious that I would get killed if I didn't get the hell out of there.

"Umm… He needed to ask me something about work. It was only for a few minutes!" Aaron narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "You sure are protective of him. Does that mean you'll go on a movie date with him?" Annie looked unsure. "I'm still thinking about it," she said flatly. "I'm not interested in horror movies. Plus, what if I screamed too loud in front of him? That'll be so embarrassing." Aaron smirked. "Why don't you go with me, then? I'm looking forward to seeing you scream." Annie was stunned. She thought she heard wrong. "Mister Aaron, are you asking me to watch a movie with you?"

Dia asked with knitted eyebrows. "Oh, I do wish that you asked before booking tickets. Amy is scared of horror movies. She is so scared, the last time she watched a horror movie she got a fever the very next day and stayed sick for 2-3days" Ryan said laughing his head off "That's the whole point, getting scared while you are safe.. the adrenaline rush. Amy can you watch this one or if you want we can cancel." Harsh asks me. I so want to back out now. I don't want to watch it. I could ask Ryan or Dia to skip the movie, the mall looks good we could go shopping and there's also a gaming section we could have a nice time there. The rest can go watch the movie.

I thought at first that it was an hallucination. Untill I closed my eyes, went to rinse it and took another look at those Walls, looking at it again (OH MY GOSH!!!). It was damn scary, seeing on a rock, sculpture of a mother breastfeeding her child, the baby was moving her body as she was comfortable with the was her mother carried her, the baby shifted her body for her mother to make a rectification of her posture. As the mother tried to do so, she looked to the right side which will make us to have eye contact. The moment they try to have eye contact with us is the most scary part of it. I regret seeing all these things in my life.

I asked, stifling a laugh. "Uh no. Of course not.. I was asking just to know if you're sure about Truth Or Dare. I'm not scared." "Mm-hmm. Yeah right." I said and snickered before facing the TV. The movie started and I couldn't stop myself from laughing at the look on Andre's face as the movie progressed. Who would have thought that popular playboy, Andre Simmons would be scared of a movie like Truth Or Dare? The look on his face right now is making me regret my decision not to play one of the classic horror films like Annabelle, The Conjuring and others.

“Ha ha, very funny.” “No, I’m being serious.” She snaps so suddenly. She was so serious all of a sudden that it actually scared me. I never saw Annie as someone scary, but right now, she was. I kind of expected this sort of scary attitude from Holly or Tarryn. Annie being angry, seems like whatever was the reason, would mean that I was in deep stool. “You have to end this now, before it gets even worse.” And just like that, everything that happened awhile ago, drops onto me like a bucket of ice.

Angel took the cicada and ran toward Josie before mischievously tossing the cicada onto Joseph. Joseph proceeded to burst into tears out of fright. Angeline began to scold Angel, “Angelie, can’t you see Joseph is afraid of cicadas? Why do you still deliberately scare him with it?” Angel said with a deadpan expression, “I wouldn’t have scared him if he wasn’t afraid of it.” Angeline said, “The more you scare him, the more traumatized he’ll be. Then, he’ll be more afraid of cicadas in the future.” Hence, Angel picked up the cicada and stuffed it into her bag. She waved her hands and said to Joseph, “Look, it’s not here anymore. Let’s go and play now, okay?”

I muttered, my voice sounding thin in the darkened room. I felt a prickle of unease at the back of my neck. I tried to mute the TV. The laughter didn't stop, but it transformed. It became a shrill, high-pitched cackle that sounded less like a laugh and more like a scream of triumph. The hairs on my arms stood up. This wasn't a glitch. This wasn't a software bug. This was a response. I was being toyed with. My heart hammered against my ribs, a trapped bird in a cage of bone. I reached for the power button on the side of the TV. My hand was shaking, my sweat making the plastic casing slick. I jabbed it hard.

I always feel jumpy and paranoid after watching a horror movie. The last time I watched one, I was little. Andre came over. He made a joke which he thought was funny but was just scary. So I thought Andre was going to murder me while I was asleep." I laugh so hard, making Snow jump and yelp. "You're going to give me a heart attack Cody." She says, finally pulling away from me. "I'm going." She tells me.
