Mrs Matteo Rocco
Matteo wasn’t totally a fool.
A few hours pass before I hear it—the sound of keys jingling. My door creaks open, and the guard steps in, his expression blank. Behind him, a second man enters.
His face isn’t familiar to say the least.
He’s taller than me, dressed like one of the facility's medical staff, a clipboard in his hand. His face is sharp, and unreadable.
“Stand up,” the guard orders.
I obey, but my body is tense. The second man steps forward, looking me up and down before scribbling something on his clipboard. “We’re moving him now,” he says flatly.
