“It's a blackjack! I was speechless because it's rare for a player to hit twenty-one. Mr Kingsley is the winner!” A round of applause rippled through the room, followed by murmurs of congratulations and praises of Kylan’s skills. Meanwhile, Richard froze, blood draining from his face. What the hell just happened? He had been smug about a twenty, very sure that there was no way anyone could beat it… after all, it wasn't easy for someone to play a blackjack - the highest ranking score in the game. Who would have thought Kylan would beat his hard hand by one? Richard felt like his throat was on fire, his eyes widening when the chips at his side disappeared.

His eyebrows raised in question, “I'm Ashanti. Ashanti Dunbar, and you? “ His eyes watched my hands longer than I felt comfortable with, I was about to withdraw them when he covered them with his hands. His hands are big, my hand fits perfectly into his like it was made for this. I mentally scold myself for thinking such. Before I could wander further into my thoughts, his deep baritone voice came. “Roman. Roman Domino "

As their gazes connected, he smirked, and she instantly looked away to focus at Andrew, who was preparing to begin a game. "Can you tell me what game you're playing?! " She enquired. "Blackjack is a game of chance. Stay close to me. Don't leave my side." He admonished her and kissed her on the lips. His opponents all peered at him, hoping for a fortuitous break to defeat him. Andrew smiled as he continued to play. Miranda couldn't figure out why he was smiling, so she just gazed at him as he continued to hit his hand with a 12 and 16. The dealer grumbled and rose from his seat. She merely stared as he continued to win.

I don’t know if it’s the mission itself or knowing Zane is here, but my heart is already racing, my blood heating in my veins. I see the guy who’s supposed to pick me up standing at the edge of the tarmac. Tall, broad, dressed in black, and wearing sunglasses that don’t hide the fact that he’s one of Arkyn’s men. He gives me a short nod before walking over, tossing a black bag my way. “Sorry, Alpha’s orders,” he mutters. “Blindfold goes on. It’s the only way to the Vega pack.”

She's like my sister from another mother. Today, I'm teaching her how to beat the dealer, which is me, in Blackjack. We've been doing this for the whole week. I'm teaching her the Hi-Lo card counting strategy. Essentially, you must beat the dealer rather than the other players in Blackjack. Your cards should be closer to 21, but if they're higher than 21, you'll be busted. You will also lose if you get a lower card than the dealer. So, you must have higher cards than the dealer, but not more than 21, to win.

The next morning after his morning run, he was stopped by the receptionist, "Ah, Mr Renji, hold on a minute please" he watched her rummage through some papers, pulling out an envelope, "this came in for you yesterday, but i forgot to hand it over" she says a shy smile on her lips, he collects it from her , brows knitting as he tore it open. Inside was a neatly typed letter bearing the seal of an international basketball committee, IBC. It read :

Ash grinned, “Oh sweetheart, you ain’t seen nothing yet. I didn’t come to play. I came to win.” The trash talk had already began. Ash dealt the cards. Amber glanced at the five in her hand, a pair of tens, a queen, and two other low-ball cards. Not the best, but something she could work with. She stole a glance around the table to look at her opponents. All had their poker faces on, save for Ebony. The bitch met her gaze and snapped her teeth in Amber’s direction. “I’m calling you out already bitch. You got shit. I’m not scared,” Amber called across the table.

He walked in as if I didn't exist, as if I weren't in front of him. The shower shut off and a few beats later, out walked Ace. I groaned at the sight of his bare ass and slapped a hand over my eyes, only removing the hand once the shuffling stopped. When I opened my eyes, I found Ace clad in black boxer briefs. He stood at the entrance of his walk-in closet with a black leather-bound book in his hands and a grimace marking his face.

In fact, he only lacked Coma Berineces, Berineces' Hair, a faint cluster in the northern sky sandwiched between Canes Venatici and Virgo. One day he would find that too. He was playing blackjack at a high-stakes table, minimum bet per hand $100, maximum $5,000, his baldness covered by a Lakers baseball cap. He almost never exceeded the minimum but preferred these tables because the spectacle was more interesting. He was a good, disciplined player who usually ended an evening a few hundred up, but every

I’m Caleb White. 22. Grade A.” Damn, his voice is deep. Wait, Grade A… “So you’ve committed murder yeah?” I ask. “Yes and did I hear a little bit of excitement under your voice just now?”
