She drove her silver dagger upward, aiming for the narrow gap beneath the armpit where the plate armor met the leather under-suit. The blade found its mark, sinking deep into flesh. The hunter grunted, his grip slackening on his weapon, but he didn't drop. He used his free, armored elbow to strike Elena across the jaw. The world went white for a fraction of a second.
