The Vampire screamed out in agony, "Answer me!" "Go to Hell!" The Vampire screeched back, "She is our light in the dark... Our savior who will bring the beacon of hope upon her return..." The Vampire smirked at her as she thrusted her claws into Aiden's chest. He grunted, stumbling off of her and into a tree, collapsing beside it. The Vampire jumped to her feet, her once beautiful features now grotesque and demented. She pressed a hand to her chest, her corset now stained with blood, "She will come to claim what is rightfully hers, and once she does," She raised her hands to the sky, her face flushed, "No one will stop her. Not the Werewolf Queen. Not the Light Witches. Not even the damned H

His eyeballs burst and blood squirted from the holes. The room grew cold, and a beautiful woman appeared. While everyone was dressed in white, this woman wore an evening gown of pale sea foam green with jewels embedded in it. She looked as if she might have been to the opera. Her hand was bejeweled, and her dark hair was swept up high. She was beautiful, and I knew that she was the one who had sired Alexis. She was his first. She was so old. She belonged to a different Council. Through Alexis, I knew what few Vampires knew, that there were hundreds of Councils, each with different levels of power. These Vampires who stood on the sidelines and watched the world develop governed the Elders. Th

Soft moans escaping my mouth with every stroke and pull. "What's your name?" he whispers his hot breath burning my ears. His beard tickling my skin. Hearing his voice for the first time I think I melted. Processing the deep, fruity voice in my mind. It took me just as long to answer his question. Scared that I might have already forgotten my own name. It felt hard to find words for it. "Avi-Avianna," my voice faint and brittle. " Beautiful name for a beautiful queen, " he whispers again. Did he just call me a queen? Beautiful queen? I couldn't control the smile that spreads on my face.

I was shocked to the core; I ran my fingers through my hair and went up to change for the baby home coming party. I stood under the hot water of the shower and the flashes of my teary mate kept coming to mind, I was the one that started all this, I should have just been honest with her; why was I so afraid that she would not accept the monster I had become. I got out and put on my white shirt, not putting my buttons up all the way and navy blue suit pants; I looked in the mirror and my eyes were red from crying in the shower, I combed my hair into a pompadour and put on some cologne; tonight I would make Athena fall in love with me again and I will claim her. She is mine and mine only; I wil

"Dylan." He replies as he wipes away his tears with his dirty sleeve. "Okay, Dylan, tell me everything you remember." He takes a deep breath before he begins. "I was captured as a pet; King Areon gave me to Queen Anna as a pet; she got mad, saying she didn't want a pet, so the king made her drink my blood. I…...don't remember anything after that." So, it seems the Vampire Queen is just as cruel and ruthless as her husband; I bang my fist down on the table I say. "They need to be stopped." The kids look at me as though I'm crazy as he whispers. "You can't stop the vampires."

I stepped carefully toward the Queen, then when I was only a few steps away from her, I stopped, waiting for her to speak. Indeed, right after, she started speaking. “I want no lies, I need to know what happened between you and Avyanna.” The queen asked, and I found myself forced to answer her. You might be thinking that I'm just a toy in between the queen’s hands. Well, you are right; I am. I won’t deny that I do respect her for her person. Still, she's taking it too far. Matter of fact, I do have the feeling that she is going to use her alpha title on me. Μ

Cain doesn’t beg. He doesn’t scream. He only looks toward me one last time, eyes wide—not with fear, but with apology. And then he’s gone. Something inside me breaks so violently it feels audible. “No,” I whisper. Then I hear her. The Vampire Queen’s roar shakes the sky. She stands alone amid the carnage, wings torn, crown shattered, blood running freely down her face as she tears through hybrids with terrifying precision. She is wrath incarnate—ancient, furious, unrelenting.

The guard closest to her flashed a hint of fangs. Dave leaned closer and whispered. “You know who that is?” She shook her head. “No? Should I?” “It’s the queen of the vampires. Myth has it she was the cause of the apocalypse.” She looked at the woman. Her tan skin glowed with ethereal beauty. Her hair curled into a bob. She didn’t appear like a vampire. Not like the rest of them. “That can't be. She looks like a normal person.” He shook his head. “She’s not full-blooded. The only reason she’s the queen is because she has royal blood. Vlad the Impaler is her descendent.”

The silence deepened, heavy with both awe and fear. And then, from somewhere deep within the earth, a cold laugh echoed, low, ancient, and filled with malice. “The war has only begun.” It was the Vampire Queen. She wasn't present there. But it was only her who was alive among them. And she won't sit back like that after what Jennifer did to their people. She will come back to take revenge for her people, for her husband and son. Jennifer lost her consciousness and was about to fall when Reis caught her in time and scooped her in his arms and left the place.

Angelinka straightened, ready for the assault, this time he wounds cleaned up in a bright white light, not like a shining light but a holy light. The Queen froze—not in fear, but recognition. “There you are,” she said. “I wondered how you would finish me.” Angelinka didn’t answer. But a tear ran down her cheek from her iridescent blue eyes. She drove forward. “This is for my family!” She screamed with no mercy, she dove under the Queen’s bear hug and went for the throat. Her jaws locked at the base of the Queen’s jaw, Angelinka’s mouth closed in a single bite, Bone gave as blood, and flesh was torn from her jugular.
