Sadie said. “Ah I haven't knitted since my mom died,” Hunter said. "But I'm sure you haven't forgotten how to knit, wait, I'll get the tools and we'll knit together," Sadie went into her room to get her knitting tools and returned to the living room. She sat on the carpet and asked Hunter to sit beside her before opening the box of yarn. “Here, do it with me, you know what? Knitting can calm your mind," Sadie said.

The description was horrifyingly specific. "She's never done that before," Killian whispered to Katherine. "How does she know what the arrow would do?" "That's no longer Annie," Katherine said painfully. "That's Annitore or someone in between. Annitore was also famous for describing the pain she'd let her victims feel to them before she actually let them feel it. That's exactly what Annie is doing." Katherine was correct, though Annie didn't know it, word-for-word how Annitore used to describe this particular method of execution. She'd been famous for it—explaining exactly how someone would die before she killed them.

She looked up from her screen as she heard me approach, it must have been the noise of my shoes as the lobby was mostly quietness. "Mr Knight — what um, can I do for you?"She smiled, but it was obvious that she was nervous. I seem to have that effect on women. "Im looking for Jamie. Is she around?"I asked. "She's working the anniversary party tonight. I'll give her a call and see if I can get her down for you, one second."She picked up the phone and dialled her number, while I waited impatiently."I'm sorry, Mr Knight, she's not picking up, I'm sure she's busy up there. I'll keep trying her."

Katherine heard from behind her. She managed to gather enough strength to glance behind her to see who was talking. It was the young Asian woman she had seen in the picture hanging on principal Kingsley's wall, dressed in sunny yellow and white. There were two other girls behind her, one a tall blonde, the other with rusty red hair and a crown of white lilies on her head, also from the pictures. Flushing with embarrassment, Katherine pushed herself up off the floor, her humiliation complete when the girl helped her up.

Great. … I don’t know what I was expecting after Zak’s talk just now but the very attractive women sitting in front of me right now was very far from whatever it was that I was expecting. She was gorgeous and so perfect that I couldn’t understand why Zak was having any issues. Annie has the figure of a model, brown wavy hair, blue eyes, beautiful pink cheeks and a very cheerful smile. She seems innocent, young and full of optimism. I think I’ve probably ran into her a couple of times at those social gatherings or fashion shows. Not that I’ve spoken to her much before. I was going to ask him if he had any job aside from the pharmacy. I got to a section of the closet which was filled with many ladies’ wear and accessories. I took out a dress from the rack and observed it. I put it close to my chest to see if it was my size. To my surprise, it looked like it was my exact size. I shook my head and looked back at the multiple racks of various clothes which all looked like it was my size. There was no way I owed this many clothes. I was a singer and made many public appearances, but come on, what the hell was I supposed to do with over a thousand outfits?

“Come in.” Annie stepped inside, her eyes scanning me with a mixture of worry and impatience. “You’re still not ready, my lady?” “I’m almost done,” I muttered, securing the last pin in my hair. She walked over and adjusted the strap of my dress, then gave me a once-over. “You look good. Beautiful. But... exhausted.” I let out a dry chuckle. “What’s new?” She sighed. “Mr. Knight's must be waiting for you. You should go before he gets impatient.”

“Leah, it’s alright. You’re safe.” His words began to calm me once again. There was a gentle knock at the door; my head snapped around, looking at the door. It opened slowly and in stepped an older lady in a pant suit. Her long blonde hair pinned back into a neat ponytail. She was carrying a notebook under her arm. Her expression changed as she saw the startled look on my face, the water on the table, the knocked-over chair, and Logans hand on my arm.

“You don’t have to come.” “Don’t be stupid,” Kennedy says. “Just let me get to a save point.” Annie begins to wind up her yarn and stow it in her old lady knitting bag. I bang on Una’s door to tell her we’re leaving early, but she’s in the shower. She’ll meet us there. She likes to go separately anyway. She takes longer than we do because of her leg, and she gets embarrassed that we walk slow to keep pace with her.
