LUNA'S POV I looked at myself in the mirror. I was different from the usual girls you'll see in New York. I had pure black hair, a round face with big gray eyes, a small nose, and a curvy shape. I was very well endowed but even though I was body confident, I got a lot of unwanted attention. I looked at the time and realized I was late. I bolted out of the house and ran as fast as I could. I couldn't wait for the bus and my workplace was just ten minutes away.

The warmth of his skin burned my system, making me feel alive. “We're not riding your monster of a bike?” I asked when we began to walk. He shook his head and glanced at my direction. “It's just you and me tonight.” And that was enough to say that I was captivated by him. I barely know him yet he managed to sweep me off of my feet. We enjoyed the cool breeze of the night and the simple conversation we had along the way. Unlike the other two clubs I've been in the previous nights, this one was not loud and jampacked. The purple neon lights read Sphere and there was no long line of people waiting to have their turn inside. True to his words, we'll definitely have the night to ourselves.

"Anna, my family funded your education. We brought you from that remote pack to the Moonshadow pack so you could learn. And this is how you repay me?" Anna's eyes welled with tears. "I'm sorry, Alice. I'll return to the remote place I came from tomorrow..." Alexander pulled Anna behind him and looked at Alice with cold detachment. "That's enough. Yes, your family may have helped her, but that doesn't mean you get to hold it over her head forever. Anna's been through enough." Alice stared at him as the last flicker of light in her eyes went out. She turned and walked away. Out of nowhere, headlights suddenly blazed from behind her, and the loud screech of tires could be heard.

The red indicator light is no longer flickering. It burns a solid, unblinking crimson. It isn't just watching me anymore. It's transmitting.

Andrew, Daniel, Alex and even Lisa is also present at the party. "When they came Mr Alex?" Lisa asked. "Sorry, miss Green, I don't know about that. Maybe they are on the way", Alex replied. Suddenly they all hear the sound of the car and immediately understood. They all went to switch off the lights to gives surprise to Emily. When Emily and Ryan get off from the car they saw all the mansion lights are off. "Ryan is there is a light cut in this area, why there is no light in the home?" Emily asked cutely.

I murmured when I realized that the electricity went off due to the heavy rain. "Are you okay?" I heard Lenos' voice. "Don't worry, the school has a generator. I'm sure the lights will be back soon." I realized that even his voice sounded good. It sounded deep and masculine. I cleared my throat. "Yeah. I'm not afraid of the dark." I gripped the lighter in my hand and lit it up. The little fire from the lighter provided faint light for us. I was able to see Lenos face when I pointed the fire to his direction.

The only things that match exactly are the two machetes in leather scabbards hanging from their waists. Lights is the oldest male Miracle, born the day after Radar. His real name is Javier. He’s a slender guy of Mexican descent, just a couple inches taller than me, with olive skin and longish black hair he keeps cut short in the front to keep it out of his yellow-gold eyes. His eyes were dark brown until his Power appeared several years ago, when they turned golden. His Power, as his nickname suggests, is light. He can create balls of light with either hand, or shoot a beam of light from his eyes. As he’s gotten older, he’s learned to control the size and the brightness of the balls and beam

The assistant glanced back just as the car drove into a tunnel. The man's face was hidden in the shadows, making it hard to see clearly. All she could make out was his hands resting on his knees. He casually flicked a lighter on and off. The lighter was plain silver-white, with no fancy patterns or brand names. It was just a simple, old-school flip lighter. The only thing that stood out was the orange gem at the bottom. It shone like the last glow of a sunset.

There was no doubt that this war would be brutal and potentially cost lives, but I prayed that it would be as minimal as possible. I was not foolish enough to believe that our side would be unscathed. Luna Ziyah went on to mention that she would be able to devise something that could act as a strong burst of light. She just needed some time to make it so that it would work properly. That would also be beneficial, especially for those who did not have access to any light or lightning of their own.
