My Hockey Alpha Neighbor

My Hockey Alpha Neighbor

I can see the effect his words have on the team, their resolve strengthening with each passing moment. “I know my old team. I know their strengths. I know their weakness. I know that they care more about their status than they do about teamwork. And I know that we can defeat them.” The team erupts into cheers at Aiden’s inspirational speech. I smile softly, knowing that in this moment, Aiden has brought the team together at a new level. As the players celebrate, Aiden’s eyes turn to me. As always, it feels as though the world falls away around us. My heart leaps.

My Bestfriend is my mate

My Bestfriend is my mate

No one uses it besides Ash team, Dream, because other teams have their own HQ, and everyone knows how to respect grounds. There are other teams: Norfolk-in-Chance, Soup-A-Stars, The Wasps and Stunned Punts. But the one Dream is affronting is Ball Busters (Seth new besties, as Louis likes to call them). Alex might be biased, but Dream is by far the best football team. And they have a great captain (Ash!!!), so that helps.

Blindside Beauty

Blindside Beauty

His clipboard was filled with annotations, potential adjustments, scribbles of inspiration that might just turn the tide in their favor against the Cattlemen. As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the field, the practice wound down. The players, drenched in sweat and exhaustion, gathered for Jeremy's closing remarks. He spoke of unity, of resilience, and the importance of adapting to change. "We're more than a team," he said, locking eyes with each player in turn. "We're a family, and it's time we show the world what we're made of."

Black as the Forest (All the Hounds of Hell #1)

Black as the Forest (All the Hounds of Hell #1)

Giving that this was a pack, they might even have grown together. I’m used to being one of the most graceful actors in any job, moving efficiently, as flawlessly as one can, but I’ve never been that much of a team-player. I could play with the team, but I never truly blended in perfectly. They did, and it was beautiful. For a moment, it made me long for what I’d never truly had, for something I could gain. I never really saw it as something missing. Even now, as I made my move to join mostly to add a few advantages to my situation, but I didn’t take in the full scope of what it genuinely met to join. Any other day, this thought would have made me uncomfortable. Tonight, I was reevaluating.

ICE BETWEEN US: BREAK ME

ICE BETWEEN US: BREAK ME

“Talented players are still useless if they don’t play for the team.” There it was again, team and discipline. The same lecture wrapped in different words. Leon's fingers curled slightly. “You sound like a press conference,” he muttered. That got a reaction but not a big one. But his eyes narrowed slightly. So he did remember something. Leon thought and pushed off the locker and stepped closer. The space between them shrank.

only one crown

only one crown

“Uh… the whole league?” Adrian’s eyes flicked to me again. “The League doesn’t know everything,” he said. The rookie skated off, confused. I stepped closer to Adrian, lowering my voice. “What are we, then?” His expression shifted. Less teasing. More raw. “You tell me, Captain.” Captain. He only used that word when he wanted distance. Or when he wanted to remind me of it. I swallowed. “We’re teammates,” I said. “And before that?” There it was.

Arcane Realm

Arcane Realm

Lisa spoke this time and I noticed how soft her voice sounded, as if she were very shy in real life. I didn’t need to ask them why no other players wanted to work with them anymore, as I am sure that other players had become greedy or there was another issue. For as long as I have played games that involved others, I knew that most players only wanted to team up with certain players. Either because they knew them in real life, or they have been playing together for years.

My Secret, My Bully, My Mates. Series

My Secret, My Bully, My Mates. Series

Planning defenses against the rogues, planning the mock trials, planning the ball and his son’s eighteenth birthday. In all my life, I have never known him to plan any of those things without his team and his Luna. He was always a team player, loves to take an idea and have everybody run with it. He was always encouraging, never assuming his idea was the best or the be all, end all. Maybe that was his downfall. He never, in my presence, looked at someone and just said ‘no.’ There was always the neutral, peacekeeping answers, I’m sure he hoped that if the topic was never approached again it would just go away.

this is one of the best novels that I have read. yes there were typos and a few blurbs but even with that and a proper publisher it would be an outstanding buy for my bookshelf. I would recommend this to anyone. my mind was so connected to the characters that I cried a couple times too many, lol.

SAVAGE PASSION

SAVAGE PASSION

she whispered, unabashedly amazed. “You won’t need God’s help. I’m not going anywhere. When I make a decision, I keep my word.” His voice grew huskier as he rolled on top of her and played with her hair that had fallen back on the pillow. “Working as a team is something I know how to do. I have that with my pack. We are one unit. Even when we fight, there is love and loyalty always behind it. It’s how we’re able to be honest.”

“So what happens now?” “I’ve already spoken to the recruiter,” he said. “And?” “And I told him exactly what happened.” He tapped the laptop. “That this was cyberbullying.” “That the rumor is false.” “That you reported it immediately.” I blinked. “…You told him that?” “Yes.” “And?” Coach leaned back again. “And he said something interesting.” My chest tightened. “What?” Coach’s expression softened slightly. “He said a player who handles pressure and nonsense without blowing up usually makes a better teammate.”

Mga Madalas Itanong

The Ideal Team Player' by Patrick Lencioni is one of those books that sticks with you because it breaks down teamwork into such relatable, human elements. It's not just about abstract theories; it focuses on three core virtues—humble, hungry, and smart—and how they shape effective collaboration. What I love is how Lencioni wraps these ideas in a fictional narrative first, making it feel like you're learning through a story rather than a textbook. The protagonist, Jeff, navigates a company crisis by identifying these traits in his team, and it’s oddly satisfying to see how the pieces click together.

Beyond the book, I’ve noticed how these principles pop up everywhere—from sports teams to volunteer groups. Being 'hungry' isn’t just about ambition; it’s about passion for the work. 'Humble' doesn’t mean quiet; it’s about prioritizing the team over ego. And 'smart' isn’t IQ—it’s emotional intelligence, reading a room. I once joined a project where one member had all three traits, and the difference was night and day. Suddenly, deadlines felt lighter, and brainstorming sessions actually sparked ideas. It made me realize how rare—and vital—this combo is. If you’re into workplace dynamics, this book’s a gem.
