Our Teammate Novels & Stories

Justice says, "We're a team." "It is his fault," I correct, "And we are a team." I stare at SpeedBlade. "We are a team," I repeat, "And where I'm from, that means having your team's back. We watch out for each other. We form plans and execute them together. We do not watch as one, only one of us, just swing a sword and hope for the best." SpeedBlade turning his head, I snap my fingers in front of him. "Hey," I say, "I'm over here."

Our we ready to take a life? I grabbed a pair of boxers and get to the pit. When I get there, I see my father is already there with Beta Dustin Malik and all the pack. I see Dani and Seb walking over to me, most likely to give me their support. "Hey Alex, I know that you already know this, but I'll say it anyway. Seb and I are always going to have your back. We'll always be there for you no matter what." "Thanks Dani, that means a lot to me and yes I already knew that. I hope you two are ready because once I'm done here you two will be taking your place next to me."

"That's not a big loss." I give him a dirty look through the bathroom door. I love that we've gotten to a comfortable stage in our relationship where I can get ready while he hangs out in my bedroom. "Be nice. These are our friends." He tosses the magazine to the side and leans back, closing his eyes and clasping his hands behind his head, a small smile on his face. "They may be your friends. But they're my teammates. For most of the year I see them at practice, shower with them in the locker room, live with them on the road. I can wait a few more days."

Kaede added. "E-eh, why me? I haven’t done anything much impactful on our team," I responded, feeling a bit overwhelmed by their praise. They tapped my shoulder as soon as I said that. "Hey! Don’t be so humble! You're so good that you could play on an international volleyball team, you know?" my other teammate said with a grin. "W-what are you saying?" I chuckled nervously. "We're serious, right, Coach?" they turned to our coach, awaiting her confirmation.

"We can't freely change our teammates once the teams have been formed. Unless… All your teammates are already gone?" Frank didn't reply. "Forget it. Let's do our best to survive the next three days," I added. I could see Frank typing for a long time. Finally, he replied, "Will you team up with me if all my teammates are gone?" I didn't reply and quietly watched the screen. Ten minutes later, the group chat was flooded with notifications, informing the remaining survivors that several players had died. All of Frank's teammates had been eliminated. Frank immediately sent a request to team up with me. "I've done it! They're all dea

His biceps were ripped and strong like those in high school movies that made the women swoon in admiration. He was hot, big, and handsome. “You have to pick the ball and take it to the post. If someone from a team does this successfully, the team wins.” Austin took the chance to explain. My boy had a serious expression on his face, he was ready to win at all costs. Austin can be quite competitive. “I am joining your team, Alpha.” Austin started to walk toward Herald and I frowned. “You can't abandon your teammate like that!” I countered.

I whined, “I am a big boy, don't do that.” He chuckled, “Okay, Mr. Big boy. See you soon.” I nodded and walked to my teacher, who was waiting at the gate for my class. My teacher, Mrs. Perry, smiled at me, and I greeted her. She always takes my whole class into the classroom. “Liam,” my friend Dustin shouted and ran towards me after greeting Mrs. Perry. Dustin is my best friend in the whole world. He is also my class partner. He lives near our house.

I called my teammates and explained them the strategy I felt was right to be followed. "Anybody any better suggestions is welcome" I asked my teammates but they were quite contended with the one I suggested. The play order was already directed by our coach so I did the planning thing where to go with the ball, which opponent player looks fit, whom to attack and whom to keep a watch and so on. We were in high spirits now when we gave each other a high five joining our hands together and throwing them in the air showing the opponents that we were an excellent piece of teamwork.

I said instead. Dante raised an eyebrow. “Change?” “Yeah.” I offered a small, lopsided smile that felt awkward on my face. “Less of an asshole. More of a teammate.” He did not smile back. “Look,” I added quickly, “I know I have been... difficult. But I meant what I said about the gym. If you want to come by later, I’ll be there.” His gaze lingered on me for a long moment. Something flickered there, behind the cool exterior.

“Well, duhh! I am not about to let you fight that monster alone! We work better as a team! Right now, you need your teammate mate and I will be there!” Despite everything, a smile found its way to my face. Leave it to Jasmine to show up when I need her the most.
