And for the first time— It is pre-selected. A movement began— And one version of it was already fading. Before it fully formed. Autumn felt it. A chill down her spine. “It’s not waiting anymore.” The child’s voice was quiet. “It’s predicting.” And prediction— Was faster than experimentation. The world began to narrow again. Not from reduction. Not from correction. From anticipation. The eye watched them all. Curious. Learning. Choosing faster each moment. And the gap between possibility and decision—

*Tristian's POV* Why is time going so fucking slow? We're still three days away from Saturday aka the day I make love to Haven. It's like God knows the sins we're gonna commit and was punishing us ahead of time for them. I had everything planned out. I was taking her to one of the nicest restaurants in town. My parents were letting me use the credit card. I told them I was dating a nice Christian girl (but not to bring it up to my grandma) and I wanted to take her on a nice date. They're so happy that I seemed to be turning over a new leaf.

She had been trying to tell him something important, but he never seemed to have the time or interest. It was impossible but then again nothing was impossible for God. When with all your will you try to wake up from the blissful dream but nothing happens.
