I know damn well that I've messed up, yet I can't seem to control the overwhelming emotions I'm feeling and everything starts to feel flurry. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. My body feels like it's on fire, my muscles tense and trembling. My hands are shaking uncontrollably, and I can't seem to calm them down no matter how hard I try. Fucking please, not now. The sweat begins to bead on my forehead, and my heart is pounding so hard I can feel it in my ears. I'm trying to focus on my breathing, but it feels like my chest is being squeezed tight by a vice. Every time I close my eyes, I'm back to being the child in the basement, the boy at his mother's grave, and the man on his knees.

I needed to get away fast. I didn’t stop walking fast until I reached my chambers. The moment the door shut behind me, the control I’d been clinging to shattered. My hands started shaking—hard, uncontrollable tremors that ran up my arms. My entire body vibrated, teeth chattering as terror finally caught up with me, raw and overwhelming. I pressed my back against the door, sliding down slowly, breathing shallow, uneven breaths.

Another panic attack. “Vivienne,” Liam called and I forced myself to look up at him. My gaze unfocused and wide with fear. His piercing eyes scanned the entire inch of my face before it settled on my hand which was trembling uncontrollably in his. Fuck! My attack was getting out of hand. I can't face those people. Not with all those cameras. I found myself subtly shaking my head at Liam, desperation overtaking my whole body. His brows furrowed for a minute before he squeezed my hand in reassurance.

My knees wobble, and I stumble toward the nearest bush, barely making it before I retch, the acid burning my throat. My heart pounds so hard it hurts. I’m shaking, my body trembling uncontrollably, tears streaming down my face. My mouth opens in a silent gasp, but no sound comes. I grip the edge of the bush, knuckles white, willing myself not to crumble completely. My vision goes black for a moment, and all I feel is overwhelming panic—like I’m drowning, trapped beneath the weight of it all. I slump to my knees, the world spinning, my tears mixing with the dirt.

“Oh my God.” I nearly passed out. My entire body started to shake, and it was so difficult to stop the uncontrollable trembling. I quickly looked away, gripping the dress tightly.

I was clutching my shirt as my throat seized in panic. “What is happening to me?” I sucked in a sharp breath. I couldn’t breathe. I can’t breathe. I reached out to grab something to hold on to, but I stumbled, hitting the wall. I ended up dragging myself down the floor to sit down. “I-I can’t breathe.” I was helpless. I was hyperventilating and shaking, and it was dangerously fast that I started to see black spots behind my eyes. “Mad?” Someone shook me. “Mad, breathe, please!”

Instantly my heart rate quickened. I couldn’t go into the dining tent again, my anxiety wouldn’t let me, I don’t think my body would even move close to it after what had happened this morning. There was just too many people here, and everyone knew my face, and what I had been through. They looked at me too much, imaginations always ran wild whenever I was around. “Hey, Dylan… calm down.” I hadn’t noticed my body had begun trembling again. My panic attacks were becoming too frequent and too uncontrollable. “Tell me what’s wrong and I can fix it…”

My heart pounded hard as I watched them wheel my wife into the emergency room. A big red stain stood out on my shirt, a reminder of the chaos inside me. My hands shook so much I couldn't hide it. Even though I tried to calm down, anxiety gripped me tighter and tighter. I tried to breathe steadily, but it felt like my lungs were fighting against me. Her scared and pained face kept coming back to me, haunting my thoughts. I was so worried about her and our little one, Baby Butchi.

His hands aren’t gentle. I turn away, unable to watch. That’s when the shaking starts. Not in my hands this time—in my whole body. It starts low, in my stomach, then spreads to my legs until I can barely stand. My breath catches in short bursts, my chest rising too fast, too shallow. James “Zoe,” I said with a trembling voice while holding her shaking body in my arms. She suddenly had a panic attack after looking at something on her phone. It had been 5 minutes and she’s still shaking. Each jerk of her body sending pangs to my chest. Why was she like this? I laid her on the bed and hugged her tightly, trailing soft kisses on her body and whispering sweet nothings into her ear to calm her down. It seemed to work as she had finally stopped shaking but was still unconscious with beads of sweat on her forehead.
