Tom took his hand as he smiled at me. “Omi, this is Jonas. Jonas, this Naomi,” Tom introduced us to each other. “It’s nice to meet you,” I said as I held my hand out to him. “Do I know you from somewhere?” “Ummm…not really, but you know my father. He’s Rip’s business partner.” My eyes widened. “Holy shit! You’re the Jonas! I’ve heard so much about you. Are you and my bestie dating?” Tom groaned as he shoved me playfully. “Stop it, Naomi! Don’t embarrass him.”

Austin revealed, his voice tinged with suspicion. “He lied,” I stated, a frown forming on my face. “But why would he?” “Well, you see, our dear Tom Tom wasn’t just in Greenfield for a meeting; rather, he was there to see a certain someone,” Austin explained eagerly, his voice tinged with excitement. He lifted his phone, displaying an image of Tom alongside a mysterious man. “He was here to see Dr. Tunde, who happens to be a witch,” Austin exclaimed, as he leaned in closer, emphasizing each word for dramatic effect.

“So we do the recon, we map the cameras, we test the shifts. Tomas, you and I handle the feeds. Marco, your men handle the men. You get it.” Tomas ran a hand through his hair, jaw working. He folded his arms, looking at the men seated at the table, then at Gideon. It looked as though he was contemplating. “You pay now?” he asked. Gideon reached into his coat and pushed an envelope across the wood. Tomas picked it up, thumbed the stack, then set it down again slowly, as if counting the weight of the choice.

He also likes photography and wished he would be a professional photographer in the future.

Tom received his card keeping the pretended smile on his face, and reached to his pocket to pull out his card from a small, elegant box. “Pleased to meet you, I'm Thomas Night, freelance photographer,” Tom acted in equally formal way giving his card. “Thomas Night?” Mr. Okada repeated curiously. “A name given by my adoptive parents from UK,” Tom smirked explaining. “Oh… my apology, I simply thought you were Japanese,” the businessman declared with formal courtesy.

I hadn’t gone down that road yet. “We have a few guys who are pretty good at this kind of thing,” Tommaso said as he bent to gather up the paperwork still strewn on the floor. “Adrian being one of them. He’s big into computers, you know. I can put a team together and see if they can crack whatever code this is.”
