Wrath
Neither man said a word and Jake climbed into the back of the van, leaned against the doorframe and closed his eyes.
Weasel didn’t say a word and Jake was glad for the silence. He felt absolutely nothing. It was the same every single time. He didn’t feel remorse, or guilt. It was just blank. What did that make him? He felt other things; love, anger, regret. There was probably a name for people like him. He opened his eyes and wondered if Weasel feared him more now. The kid had a lot to learn. He was only 20, not much younger than he was, but a kid in so many ways.
