Tall, broad-shouldered, silver threaded through his dark hair despite his relative youth. His presence was sharp in a different way than Rex’s less controlled, more performative. A smile played at his mouth as he looked up toward the tier where she stood. Not at Rex. At her. “Well,” he called, voice carrying easily through the stone and steel. “So the rumors are true.”

Raven said, looking at her phone and didn't even wait for her sister's reply before she ran off. "Ugh! What's wrong with her these days? Now I have to stand here and wait," Sasha said. ~ Raven walked into the school's library. A tall silhouette stood holding a book in his hand. His muscles bulged through his school shirt and he was quite over six feet. Raven smiled at him even though he didn't see her and called: "My monkey man!" she almost screamed, and he turned around with a surprised look on his face. She ran towards him—at first it was a sprint, then it turned to a mad dash. Then she leapt into his arms and he caught her mid-air.

Alex growls beside me. Raven's eyes gleam with malice as she tilts her head slightly, her lips curling into a slow, predatory smile. "Ah, Alpha-heir," she purrs, her voice dripping with sickly sweetness. "It sure is good to see you again. A shame my men couldn't bring you to me earlier. We would have had one hell of a time.” She tssks, her eyes moving over Alex's form as if appraising a prize, a sickening smile curving at her lips before meeting his gaze again.

ZAYN Anxiety gnawed at my gut like a festering wound as I stared at my reflection, transfixed by the haunted eyes staring back. I couldn't tear my gaze away, fearing that if I looked away, I'd lose my grip on reality. For the first time in my life, the thought of stepping out of my room filled me with dread. Beyond the safety of these walls, the compound was crawling with guests – alphas, betas of esteemed packs, all gathered to celebrate my birthday and, more importantly, my mate-finding.
