Daddy's Demands

Daddy's Demands

“I am going to get us dinner, then you can have a hot bath and finally relax.” Angel felt so at home, so comfortable and tears filled her eyes. “Um… thank you?” she called to his receding back. He halted and turned toward her. “I am more than happy to share what I have with someone who knows how to like—?” He shook his head and looked thoughtful. “Appreciates?” Smiling, she swiped a tear from her cheek. “I am grateful. I can’t thank you enough.” “No, I mean you appreciate all of this.”

Agape

Agape

Agape Agape: noun. 1. The highest form of love. Selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love; persists no matter the circumstance. Chapter 1 Ella: Everything seems so surreal. If fairytales are real, I think I could say pretty confidently that I'm living mine. Meeting Declan has been the ultimate change in my life, meeting him was and is the best thing that has ever happened to me. From being alone to now, it seems weird to look back. Now that I have Declan, I can't even imagine how I felt or how I went on without him. He's so special to me I can't even comprehend it.

Mrs Reluctant Billionaire

Mrs Reluctant Billionaire

“Is this what marriage does to people? You are too nice. It’s weird.” Humans. I push her gently into the elevator and she spins on her heels to glower at me. When I am not nice, I get complaints, now, I am nice, I am still getting complaints. I might as well turn into a deaf mute. “It’s called showing appreciation. Ever heard of that?” She rolls her eyes. “You should try it some time.” “Shut the fuck up. I’m leaving.”

No Rules, Just Pleasure

No Rules, Just Pleasure

I said, "You made me feel good. I want to return the favor." "I appreciate it," Kevin said, "I don't want it to feel... what's the word? Like a business exchange?" "Transactional," I said. "Yes, that," Kevin said, "Besides, I'm sure you want to get back to studying. I've already taken up too much of your time."

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

‘Like I said before, you don’t have to thank me for everything. ‘Right, forgot.’ Changing the subject, I said, ‘Actually, I was pretty anxious earlier. It was my first court case, after all. Even as I walked out of that courthouse, everything still felt a bit surreal, but now I feel… settled. And I appreciate you sending Hannah and her team to help. They are extremely professional.’ ‘“Appreciate” is just another word for thank you.’ ‘Right. Forgot again, sorry. But I do want to tell you that I’m grateful.’

As up to now the book would be 3 Stars. It is declining severely. Dragging with baby stories that don’t add up to the story just for adding characters and taking our money. Definitely stopping. Huge dissapointnent. Good until chapter 380

This author is one of the best writers I have ever read! I love her discripted writings. She has captured the scenes' and characters' feelings with flair and accuracy. I hope to read other books by this author.

One Night, No Names

One Night, No Names

I appreciated her patience, her honesty, and her ability to turn ordinary moments into memories worth holding onto. My words were thoughtful and deliberate, each sentence shaped by genuine admiration rather than performance. I paused once, briefly, as if steadying emotion, then continued. I thanked Clara for standing beside me through uncertainty and growth, for choosing partnership over convenience, and for loving me in ways that taught him how to be better. My appreciation was not loud or dramatic, but deeply felt, and that sincerity resonated across the room. Some listeners nodded, others dabbed at their eyes, moved by the clarity of my devotion.

I love to hate you

I love to hate you

Wasn't going to help matters yet she felt the need to ask. "Through Hardy." He ended there when she anticipated more. "Look, what you saw there is absolutely not what you think, please believe me." "Find it hard to. How can you explain making out with someone who bullies you on a daily and someone you claim 'not to appreciate' for hating on you and your fam?" 'Don't Appreciate' was the term she used to describe her feelings towards Sean instead of hate or despise. To her, they were one of those very powerful words to not offer a fellow human. One of those people did not like or need to hear no matter what.

Frequently Asked Questions

I love watching how a single verb swap reshapes a whole line — 'admire' is such a chameleon. Put it in a sentence like, I admire the way you handle conflict, and it reads warm and somewhat intimate: there's a personal approval implied, a softness. Swap to I respect the way you handle conflict and the tone tightens; it's more formal, professional, sometimes even guarded. Use I esteem the way you handle conflict and you get an old-fashioned, slightly lofty air, like something out of a formal letter or a classical novel.

Playing with intensity also matters: I adore the way you handle conflict feels effusive and maybe romantic; I appreciate the way you handle conflict is polite and grateful but low-key; I idolize the way you handle conflict can sound extreme, even a bit ironic if the speaker is sarcastic. Connotation and register steer the emotional direction — 'venerate' gives reverence, 'praise' gives public approval, while 'fancy' slides into British casual flirtation. I like to experiment with modifiers too: quietly admire versus openly admire, or deeply admire versus merely admire, because adverbs can flip sincerity or distance.

In storytelling, swapping synonyms helps me tune a character’s voice. A protagonist who 'adores' someone sounds different from one who 'respects' them. Even in casual chats or comments on 'Pride and Prejudice' fan threads, a single word choice hints at background, education, or hidden feelings. For me, that tiny switch is one of the most satisfying little tools for shaping tone — it’s subtle but powerful, and I keep reaching for it in every draft.
