April got into her hotel room dressed like a man. Her eyes were narrowed in anger as she threw down a lamp from the bedside table. "A surprise wedding, huh?" She gritted, blood burning with anger. "I'll give them a wedding to remember!" April flew into South City in disguise for a secret mission for the Cordel family. After seeing the press around her sister and Rafael's survival as well as her mother taking over the Lontoc and Rivera companies, she sought for an opportunity to come into South City and when the opportunity presented itself, she took it with both hands.

“Let’s see if we can figure this out.” April leaned over the page. “Okay, this is an edited version of what we see here. Well, that’s interesting, though it shouldn’t be a surprise.” April pored over the papers, looking closely at the words and symbols.

April stood up, got out of her room, and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. She stopped as she saw the meal on the dining table. She walked closer, noticing a written note beside the meal. She took it up and read.

Some group of people passed by almost immediately the figure in the dark had turned on her phone torch to get a glimpse of her, "You seemed to be in a mess." "Oh my goodness! That's is April!" She heard one of the passerby squeal in delight whilst tugging vehemently at her friend and it made April think of the time she Josh had been around. A lone smile etched on her face for a second before it was gone. "Who is April?" The friend of the excited girl asked nonchalantly. "April, that girl that acted in stars and sores...the one who did a cover shoot for vogue.... brand..."

I'll come find you. I stared at the message and let out a laugh that turned into tears. I did not reply. Instead, I blocked and deleted his contact, along with every one of his friends. 'Nolan. Your April Fools' game ends here. I'm done playing.' I told myself that silently.

Plus, with his smooth style and money, he could probably date any beautiful, rich woman he wanted. “To make it up to you,” he said. “You could just say sorry.” His lips curved upward a little bit. It was late and the roads were covered in snow. Pulling into a driveway, Aiden rushed in huge steps towards a house. He pressed the bell, waiting for a response. When April opened the door, she was delighted to see the man she had summoned. There she stood, in all her naked glory. Her lips curled up into a smile. "I took a leap of faith tonight. If you were late, then someone else could have benefited." "Shut up," he barked angrily. In response, April laughed, rolling her head back. She pulled him in by his tie and shut the door behind them.

This time it wasn't an enemy who attacked her but fate rather decided to play cruelly with us. It hurts, the ache in my chest won't go away no matter how much I console myself but for all I know. I must be stronger for my mate. She needs me more than anything. I sat there beside her holding her fragile hand in mine. I kept staring at her wounded hand. The scars on her arms haven't even disappeared but my little mate got even more scars. In true definition, April is the true warrior. She has faced so many hardships since she was just a mere child and she had coped with all the pain strongly. But this time she won't be alone. I'll be there with her. After breakfast, April sat on the counter as Noah washed up, scrolling through messages, hoping one would come through from Poppy.
