"Your father is about to take the stage." The massive braziers surrounding the central platform dim, leaving only a pale beam of silver light cutting through the grand chamber. Magnus Andersen steps into the light, his grand cello rested between his knees, the polished wood reflecting the moonbeams. The entire assembly of pack elders and warriors goes dead silent. He wears the formal leather and silver armor of the Andersen Silverclaw Royal Pack, the neck left bare to show his dark Alpha mark. My breath catches in my throat. Even after all these years, after every battle we fought to secure our place at the head of the Great Packs, the sight of him undoes me completely.

“A woman who has chosen hiding rather than family, you came to play the good guy?” “No.” I tilted my head. “I came to warn you.” His wolf bristled. “About what?” “You’re playing a cold game,” I whispered, stopping his wolf with a flick of my finger. “And you’re losing. You are just failing to see it.” The silence that followed was thick, suffocating even for them. Lorenzo’s voice dropped, dangerous. “To who?” “Xavier Blackthorn.” I locked eyes with him. “And Valerie. The Luna you’re underestimating more than anyone. The weak pawn that you think you can play.”

“Until I rewrote the rules.” Ethan swore under his breath. “So now we’re just… watching this happen?” Victor shook his head. “No.” He turned to Ariana urgently. “There’s still one option.” Ariana looked at him. “What?” Victor hesitated. And that hesitation said everything. Ariana’s stomach twisted. “Say it.” Victor’s voice dropped to a whisper. “You’re still the original Architect.” Her chest tightened. “So?” Victor swallowed hard. “So if you can access the core layer… the level beneath Daniel’s override…”

Viktor's face cycled through several shades of purple. He shot Lucian a murderous glare, then through gritted teeth, agreed to four percent. I had never seen Viktor make that face before. If I hadn't been in the room, he would have torn Lucian apart. When we stepped out, I couldn't help but laugh. "What did you say to him?" Lucian answered casually. "Viktor's been secretly manufacturing forbidden wolf drugs. I told him that if he didn't want the Alpha King to find out, he'd play nice."

**Ruby** “It’s lovely to finally meet you, my dear.” Viktor said as he kissed my hand. “We have so much to talk about. I have brought some of the scrolls from our archives. I came across three prophacies that are very similar, by that I mean minor detail that are identical but the outcomes are drastically different.” “Ruby,” I looked at Dez. “I haven’t told you about my meeting with Viktor, because I knew you would have questions that I can not answer.”

He had to go back to Genbofen and, for now, to the magic school. Viktor's suggestion that Karen accompany him elicited a furious refusal in response. At sixteen, she played both the role of a widow and a bereaved daughter. But then she was overcome with remorse, hugged her brother and told her that she would think of him every day while she looked forward to the moment of her return. He dismisses her with an order. Almost an hour goes by as Azraiel makes several calls for help and assistance. He just leaned back in his chair when he hears the knock on his door. The figure leaned forward, revealing a man with silver hair and piercing green eyes. His tailored suit was immaculate, his demeanor unnervingly calm. “You can call me Viktor,” he said. “I represent... interested parties who are closely watching the developments around Elona.” Alaric’s jaw tightened. “What do you want with her?” “Not just her,” Viktor replied, his gaze unflinching. “Her lineage.
