The Dragon's Mighty Heart.

The Dragon's Mighty Heart.

He patted my back again hearing my questions. "They are dead. Balthazar never killed your parents. He never wanted to. Your mother was really kind to him. More than his mother could ever be. He liked to be with her. But he knew what was about to happen. And he still stayed quiet. Then he tried to touch my heart. Then he sold it to some sorcerers. It was all on him. You killed him, you did what a king should have done. But your mother, she was killed by your father. Because no one else could have touched her but your father." I was no longer able to control my tears. They started flowing freely from my eyes and I did not bother to wipe them.

The Vampire's Blind Mate

The Vampire's Blind Mate

“This was our home. That sunflower garden was where our mother would read us stories. It was broken and dead bodies were everywhere when the war started.” “The war between vampires that you’re always talking about” “And humans.” “It took a year before he told me what really happened. That our parents were dead.” I’m still in shock at his admission. Their parents were dead? Murdered. “I was so weak.” Hayden’s fists fold tightly against the table, while he glared down at the counter before us. “I couldn’t do a thing. I had to depend on him. If Aiden wasn’t there, if he didn’t realise and make it in time, I would be dead too.”

Alpha Arthur

Alpha Arthur

Catherine led her to other rooms, the ceremonial rooms, the pack meeting room that contained the alpha’s throne room which she only pointed to her from outside as it was locked and other rooms which she took no interest to know what they stood for. “Who are those?” Eleanor asked pointing to the portrait of a man and a woman with a little boy in between them. They were all smiles. “That is the formal Alpha and Luna, Alpha Arthur’s parents. And that is him, the little boy.” Eleanor took a step closer. She started briefly into the picture portrait. “He looked sensible when younger…what about his parents, they don’t stay in this house with him?” “They are dead.” “Oh, I’m sorry. I hope I didn’t t

Revenge Born of Betrayal

Revenge Born of Betrayal

Hazel's question left both Aurora and Darius silent. Darius looked at his daughter for a few seconds. Then he gave a small smile. "Of course." Hazel looked relieved. "Then Daddy can call Uncle Dante later." A weight settled in Darius's chest. Because even then, he had already tried. Again and again. But Dante seemed to have vanished from the world. Hazel's birthday arrived faster than any of them expected. The Harrington residence was filled with balloons, ribbons, and the laughter of children.

Powerless Against His Feisty Wife

Powerless Against His Feisty Wife

Did good people possess long lives? What about Belle's parents, then? They were upright and kind, but they died a horrible death. The only silver lining was that their daughter had survived and remained healthy. Perhaps Belle being healthy was God's reward to her parents. Dorothy sighed silently and lovingly stroked Belle's cheek. "Hurry and go pick up Grayson," Dorothy said. "Yes, I'll come by again tomorrow. You shouldn't stay in the hospital for too long. Please go back and rest early. You looked drained lately," Belle said to Dorothy.

It was one of my favorite books to read in this app, unfortunately the author left the plot hanging. This is a book that deserves to be continued, maybe a second book. The author is very creative with the plot, I just want more and I’m willing to continue my subscription. Please

love this girl Belle!! ... no dull moments with her ...... 've always wanted a protagonist who isn't a pushover and who speaks their mind, i mean why do they always have to be trampled up on right? just hope that this novel isn't one of those same old same old abused or s* assaulted females

150 Days To Live, Yet To Love

150 Days To Live, Yet To Love

I couldn't miss the sarcastic words that Peter mumbled. “Okay then," Grandfather replied, leaning back on his seat. “What about your parents? Schedule a place and time for them so that we can meet." “They are dead. My mother died when I was young, and my father died five years ago." Carly answered, making me turn to her surprisingly. I didn't know that she didn't have any parents, and I didn't bother to ask because I had said we should stay glued to the contract. “May them rest in peace," Grandfather muttered.

Rebel Blood

Rebel Blood

“You heard me. I know how much Dunkeld taxes you. I know how little food you have. Please. Be my guest tonight.” “Are you not hungry, my lord?” He shook his head and walked over to the large windows overlooking the back gardens. “What is your name, lad?” Rathdowne asked without looking back at me. “Aldric,” I answered. I still hadn’t moved. I was sure it was some kind of set up. I was convinced that he’d punish me the moment I sat down to eat. “What of your parents, Aldric? Where are they?” “My mother died of childbed fever when I was a boy. My father died of the flux two winters ago.”

Alpha Rejected Slave Omega

Alpha Rejected Slave Omega

It was Belle, slowly regaining consciousness. "Belle, I'm right here," I reassured, gripping her hand and helping her sit up. Her following words sent shockwaves through me. "Your parents are alive," Belle whispered, her voice quivering. She took a moment to gather herself before continuing. "I met my father, who managed to escape the Dark Realm vortex about three months ago. He told me that your parents, along with the Grey Wolf pack, are trapped there. The demons are determined to drag Dad back into the vortex. Mom and my dad are fighting them off. I ended up here because we only had one teleportation vial. Since I'm younger, Mom insisted I use it to reach the Black Mist Pack, believing I'

The Pack's Vampire

The Pack's Vampire

“You managed to fight the humans off, then?” “Cousin!” Yeric strode across and clasped Thaelen’s forearm before pulling him for an embrace, striking Thaelen’s back resoundingly with the heel of his hand. “You are a sight for sore eyes! Come in, come in. Mother is preparing mead…” “Yeric, I come bearing bad news,” Thaelen said as he let his second cousin draw him into the royal household. “My parents have been killed…” “Yes, we know. It is a terrible sadness,” Inora said from the position near the door. She offered Thaelen a mug of blood and mead. “We are so sorry, Thaelen.”

This series is epic, a real nail biter! Yes, it is dark and touches on many uncomfortable issues, but there is redemption and forgiveness and healing. It shows that people can overcome their past and true change is possible with love and communication. I love the characters, especially the vampire.
Fox 2005
very dense story. highly recommended to start with book one, else you are missing too many information needed to understand the different timelines and points if view. yet these arches are more than necessary for the density. showing perspectives, helping the reader to understand the characters...

Ice Princess: The Winter Solstice Tribrid

Ice Princess: The Winter Solstice Tribrid

I ask. “40 on our side and all 300 on the enemy's side,” Cormac answered. “Anyone we know personally?” I ask. “I’m so sorry Morrigan, but Thaddeaus was among those who were killed.” Bayard says, grasping my hand from across the table. Tears welled in my eyes as I tried to force them not to fall; I needed to be strong for my family, for our people, for my kingdom. “Wait, mom. I have a question. If my biological mother died when my father died, how come you didn’t when dad died?”
