"Talking to the witch when you should be taking what she knows." Everything happened too fast. Draeven launched himself at the witch, his corrupted claws extended. She threw up a shield of shimmering light, but he tore through it like paper. I heard her scream as his claws raked across her side, saw blood spray black against the snow. "No!" I didn't know why I shouted it. Didn't know why my body moved before my mind caught up. I crashed into Draeven, sending us both sprawling. My warriors stood frozen, confused, caught between orders and instinct.

Chapter 10 Sierra Seriously he was going to scoff at witches? I know we weren’t all friendly but now I know how he truly feels about us. He thinks he’s above us because he’s a werewolf and the future alpha. You have to be shitting me. “Do you smell that” he says grabbing my arm as I try to yank it away. “Smell what? All I smell is fire” I say and finally look him in the eyes. Ajax is shining through and he looks as if he is on full alert

He seems a little too excited about that. “What do you mean interested in us”? I ask. Feeling like it is a bit strange that wolves from another part of the world are interested in a pack in the Midwest. “They have heard about you. Apparently, wolves everywhere are trying to mate with witches to make their packs more powerful. Marcus said we are the most powerful pack now.” “Do they know that not all witches have the same abilities I have”? I laugh.

she snapped in annoyance as she helped herself up. "Jinx! You cast a spell on him and made him forget all that happened up till this evening!" "Huh! But I did nothing but place my hand over his head," Lucia said with a confused look. "That's why I said you are powerful! According to the history of the world of vampires, wolves, and witches, only six people have been able to perform a jinx successfully." "Really? And who are those?" Lucia asked with excitement. "The dark lord himself- Lucifer, the current heads of the wolves, witches and vampires, queen Jezebel and your father!"
