Theo said as he turned and left the room. Neil smiled behind him, watching his friend go to send out the guards to search for Amelia. She was close; he could feel it. Arielle was a simple witch. She spent her days watching the crystals, trying to figure out what the future held. She didn’t draw attention to herself, and she lived with a sweet roommate, Emilie. And I am certain we can count on her support to stand against Arwyn and Alaric”, she said. I nodded at her words.

Lily repeated. "Yes." Ariel said. "That is also a different story that we can not delve upon right now." Ariel shifted her legs from underneath her and relaxed her posture. "Then there was Haddock. That was what the others called her, anyway. She and a few others were part of a group that specialized in protecting the balance between Humanity and the Supernatural. They also were followers of another deity, similar to the Witches." "Then there was Horace." A warm, yet sad smile settled on her lips. "The connection that formed upon our first meeting was... electrifying."

It froze the breath in the lungs of every wolf. A woman stood in the doorway. She was covered in shadows that moved like snakes. Her skin was the color of a grave. Selene. The Witch of the High Woods. She stepped into the hall. Her bare feet left frozen prints on the stone. She threw her head back and laughed. "Don't you think the witches can handle themselves?" I ask. "They are powerful enough to travel between worlds—its possible for them to hide in the human realm if needed."

The way she had no scent to everyone yet smelled like Herbs and Lavender to me. The way the wards had blinked. The way Morwenna couldn't read her mind. She was a witch. A Salem witch.
