A steady, heart stopping beat of slow heavy footsteps sounded loud in the still quiet of the room as the warlocks stopped chanting and became like tranced zombies, staring unseeing at the circle. Ruben and Kat watched as a large arm came up out of the hole holding a massive axe. Followed by the face of a great horned demon, his skin a strange bluish grey colour. As it climbed the stairs with deliberate slowness, avoiding the blue flames, it came to stand before them as the floor was suddenly back up and the demon stepped back away from the flames to the centre of the circle. Kat looked at it with distaste. “That’s not Lord Basille.”

He could feel the presence of an angel, and if he wasn't mistaken, the demonic creature was close by. Arius took off at full speed, his black wings beating forcefully against the winds. She will be training with our human soldiers while she is recovering. If she leaves a situation, let her go. Her illness is severe and will harm others. Remember her look. She is valuable to us.” I waved. There was some applause. I heard a few people whisper about my size. It wasn’t like I was actually all that big, I was just thicker in more places than the average demon. There were a few whispers of appreciation for that as well. “Well, that explains why the monster hasn’t been coming to see us.” A snickering voice murmured from somewhere
