The Hunter Organization. A mysterious entity that Mr. Aikens, Mane’s teacher back at the Wielder Academy, had refused to speak on. Although they had built and nurtured Wielder Academies all over the planet of Zandor, very little was known about those who were the true backbone of this institution. All that the commonfolk knew was that it was comprised of individuals called hunters who farmed and killed dangerous creatures and sold them to wealthy merchants for processing. There were rumours that they were also in charge of protecting the world, but when Zandor had been invaded, they disappeared. This made people realize that it was this was a baseless rumour.

Turning back the Elites had changed course, going in the direction that Cassius had set off. Wait... Did they not see her just murder one of their own? "Hey!" she shouted after them, trying to drag their attention back to her, but they just completely ignored her. She started after them, pumping her legs hard to try and catch up to them. Then she heard a sickening all too familiar 'kerchunk' of the crossbow being loaded and she pin-pointed the Elite that was taking aim with it. "Oh please no," she murmured to herself as she tried to force her legs to move faster. It was loaded with the silver bola. If aimed right Cassius didn't stand a chance against it.

Artemis' POV "Fuck," I mumbled to myself as I felt the pain of the gun in my arm. The pain from the bullet that hit me also stings my spine. I was still holding my gun as I held the young kid in my right hand. "Shhh, I'm sorry, Baby... Mama will come back... I promise that Mama will take you back..." I said to my son before I kissed his forehead. I will make sure that I'll come back to my son when the time comes but for now? I need to give him to his father first. I need his father's protection because right now, the Tigers, the assassination company I belonged to a year ago, are after me.

I was grateful that he was on my side… Again I asked myself, ‘What exactly are you, Adrian? Then I looked at Artemis who was launching arrows at unbelievable speed and left ashes of demons all around her. Even though I was seeing her hunting for the first time, I was not surprised at her efficiency because she was the Goddess of the hunt after all. Then I turned towards Mercy and saw her uttering spells at the demons and killing them off. Seeing her using the spells, I remembered that we were supposed to capture some demons to interrogate. So far, all of us were concentrating on killing the demons. By now, the demons had thinned out and only a few were left.

(My God, forgive me) Artemis smiled sweetly and slowly descended, twirling through the air beneath the starry sky of the amphitheater. Her cold breath shimmered in the air like frost. Her bronze armor made no sound. It was perfectly engineered. With her dark skin, cascading curls, and gleaming archer’s bow, she could have been beautiful, voluptuous, and divine. If it wasn’t for the fact that she was a crazy demon bitch trying to chop us into pieces. The small marble goat, lion, and dragon desperately clinging to her body yelped. They held on for their lives, trying not to fall and be crushed against the jagged ice or disappear into the dark water below.

"I'm ready! Can we fly there? Like Hermes does?" Before anyone could respond further, a gust of cool mountain air swept through the hall, carrying with it the fresh scent of pine and wildflowers. Artemis appeared suddenly from nowhere, landing lightly beside them with the grace of a hunting cat, her bow slung across her back and a quiver of silver arrows at her hip. Her dark hair was tied back in a simple braid, and she wore practical leather boots and trousers that allowed for easy movement. "I'm coming too," she announced without preamble, her voice clear and steady as she looked from Hermes to Apollo.

I asked, focusing on Artemis. She cocked a dark brow. “With what? Star bucks? Bit-bars? Do I look like I have sollaur bills or inglions? Besides, I'm dealing with my own phase right now,” Artemis replied curtly, tilting her head to one side. “All this mess is interfering with my daily hunt. Do you know how much trouble unsupervised hounds cause? Right. You don’t know. Well, they always end up raiding Aphrodite’s flamingo sanctuary." “You’re moon-related, right?” I asked uneasily, shifting in my seat. “How can you not help?”

She sees me walk in and tries to pull away, but Foster’s got a stronghold on the back of her head. “Don’t worry about my friend, honey. Just keep that throat open like the good girl you are. What’s up, man? Oh, fuck, that’s right, honey. Your throat was made for my cock!” he moans as he punches his hips forward with more force. If this were any other day, I’d get hard just watching before taking a turn with the girl. We don’t have that luxury now. “Artemis escaped when Cole stepped away to take a piss. Finish quick, we are heading to Red Mountain Pack sooner than we planned,” I bark.

"Because that’s the only way to keep you safe." Allie stared at him, her frustration mixing with something else. "You don’t get to decide what’s safe for me, Artemis. You don’t get to push me away and expect me to just accept it." Artemis’s jaw clenched. "You don’t understand what’s happening here, Allie." "Then make me understand!" she said fiercely. His eyes darkened. "I’m hunting a man who will kill anyone close to me just for leverage. **You shouldn’t be here.**"

"I won't tolerate throwing yourself around Kane in my house." "I asked a question. Why are you angry?" She repeated staring deeply into my eyes. It got me a bit confused causing me to stagger backwards a bit as I got into deep thoughts. Why was I confused? I also couldn't get it in my head. I felt a bit overwhelmed as I made my way out of the kitchen. I stormed out of the building. "Daymon!" I called out and my bodyguard rushed towards me and bowed. "Yes, Master!" He answered. "Henceforth, Artemis is not allowed to be alone. I don't need you hovering around me. Stand beside her. Never be 5 feet away from her until I ask you to." I said my orders and then stormed back in.
