When he lifted his gaze again, his eyes were filled with sorrow. “I am so sorry; we did this to you.”

A smile finds its way to his lips when he sees the wheels turn in my head. “It belongs to Artemis!” I spring up from my bed in excitement. I can almost see myself walking to Arles’ palace with the Golden Hind. “But how am I going to call Artemis? And why would she lend me her sacred Hind?” I ask. Artemis is the goddess of hunting and wilderness and on what grounds would she lend her Hind to a mortal like me?

Wanting to end the fight and get his reward from Lord Alwyn, Archer, with his sword positioned to kill, dived straight into the serpent's heart. He made sure the attack didn't kill the beast by just cutting its heart halfway, making it whimper in pain as its body started to get paralyzed.
