Arthur Conan Doyle The Hound Of The Baskervilles Novels & Stories

The paper had a section torn off at the bottom – perhaps an old coupon – and the rest of it had an uneven surface, as though someone had tried to scrub off some of the ink from the original text. The words were warped, but when I held them right below the light, I could make them out. Another sighting tonight. It was unusual – moreso than the others. It was as though the darkness twisted into shape before me, forming a man. He was handsome, but his face was inhuman, marred by fangs and eyes so bright it was as though they held the light of the moon within them, its white shine blurring with the navy darkness and beaming from his face, piercing blue and scary. His hair was that of a crow, bla

“Devil’s hound, first form.” The enormous hound barked and suddenly all shadows inside the alehouse released black strings, dancing in the air like dark ribbons, until they all flew towards Bast. Hundreds of dark strings pierced around the hound’s neck, like hairs of a lion. The guardian extended a hand forward and spoke, “awaken.”

“My love, I can't afford to let that wolf kill the whole flock. We won’t survive the winter without them.” Tears streamed down her face as she watched him walk toward the door. He slipped out of the house and headed toward the pens. At first, he didn’t see anything but then out of the darkness a big black wolf with glowing red eyes appeared. He raised the musket, but the wolf was too fast and was on him in an instant. They heard the struggle with the screams of their father.

I'm a hunter but I don't posses what others do, I sigh taking slow strides, I stop to a halt on hearing whispers, I look behind me to check but no one's there, I move a little forward , I see two people talking on hush tones, I strain my eyes to see who it is, naturally my eyes zoom in on them I could see them clearly even from afar, I could recognize one as goofy(Arthur) and the other is a freaking handsome dude, I watch them talk about few things and I see him pull Arthur in for a hug, before placing a peck on his lips

He threw his head back and laughed into the sky. “Didn’t I say it, she is feisty. No she-wolf kills that many hunters without a bucket load of fire in her belly” Doyle cackled wildly. Hunters, Gunner’s Mate killed a lot of hunters? So she’s some kind of super warrior then. I’m starting to respect and hate this mystery woman. Gunner squeezed my shoulder, another growl bubbled out of his mouth. “Yes, tiny Goddess. I know all too well not to fuck with you” Doyle teased,

The Lord of Dark had appeared. "Let! Me! Down!" I immediately shouted angrily at Archie. Archie paid no attention, and another thunderstorm descended directly toward The Lord of Dark. It was only then, amidst the thunderstorm, that we discovered the black mist composed its flesh. It was a colossal wolf skeleton, adorned with bits of decaying flesh.

He crossed over the police tape and headed towards the almond tree where Jack’s truck ran into. As he was observing the scene, he heard a pitched howl which was followed by many more as the moon peeped through the almond tree leaves and faintly lit up the dark path ahead. Detective White hastily draws out his service revolver. His best guess was the howling came from wolves. The howls were replaced by ferocious barking which made him tremble with fear. Being alone in the woods at this odd hour isn’t the best thing to do. As he flicked around to head to his car, he caught a glimpse of glowing blue eyes. He couldn’t see the figure of the creature’s glowing eyes. He didn’t want to fire any shot

The dirt path curved past a row of old pine trees, and the smell of wood smoke drifted in the cool air. She was almost at the door when voices stopped her. She did not mean to listen. She truly did not. But the voices were low and urgent, the kind of voices people only used when they were speaking about things that mattered. One voice was Arthur's — deep, steady, controlled. The other was older. Rougher around the edges. It was Elder Cassius. Aurora had seen him before. He was one of the oldest wolves in the pack. His grey hair and slow walk made him look harmless, but she had learned that wolves who had lived the longest always carried the heaviest secrets.

she said. “But Arthur,” I protested. “We can't leave him.” She turned to me, grabbing me by my shoulders tightly. “The devil wolf is the one that kills impure wolves…that's not Arthur, he would kill you…and all of us.” My mouth fell open, staring at Arthur in pity, our eyes locked and it was almost like I could hear Arthur calling for help. Arthur slowly turned to Lady Eleanor, his eyes filled with venom as he moved closer. She stood frozen, her former expression replaced by fear. Arthur let out a low, rumbling growl and lunged at her, his teeth snapping just inches from her face.

"Did you draw this? She asks in a weak voice. He nodded, and he let go of his baseball bat and sat beside her. "Amazing." She mumbles. He smiled, "You think that's amazing. Check this one out," he said while handing her another notebook. "It's a comic. I made it. It's about a crime-solving detective like Sherlock Holmes, but mine is French. The name is Hank Devereaux, and he has a dog named Yoda." He explains enthusiastically. She smiled, and he noticed her eyes finally conveyed emotion. His heart was filled with delight.
