Her demeanor changed, eyes wild and anxious and panting like a wild animal. “Calm down! You’re scaring him.” She was scaring me, too. “What the hell, Aurora! I wouldn’t let him fall in.” She held onto Arthur like he was going to disappear, whimpering. I knelt beside them and pried Arthur out of her hands. He fled into my arms, shaking. “It’s alright, little guy. Nothing happened.” I stroked his dark hair until he stopped shivering. James stepped out of the house and came running to us. “What happened? Why is she crying?”

“That was it. The end.” A single tear slid down my cheek. “When I opened my eyes again… I was like this.” Silence blanketed the room. But not the kind that came with peace. This was the kind that followed devastation. Arthur sat down slowly as though his body could no longer hold the weight of what he was hearing. His eyes shone with unshed tears. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered. I shook my head. “I don’t need sorry.” I looked at him, meeting his gaze. “I need the truth. I need justice. For me. For my baby.”

Hours. The word felt abstract. “Why?” she asked. Arthur’s gaze flicked away. “You were under psychic attack.” She processed that slowly. “Was it Drogo?” “Yes.” She waited for the fear. It didn’t come. “Oh,” she said. Arthur froze. She frowned slightly. “Is that wrong?” His grip tightened. “Yes. It’s wrong.” She tilted her head. “I feel… empty.” The word echoed in the room. Arthur straightened abruptly. “No.”

His eyes were roaming to see any living trace of her but couldn't. "I told you Myra. Don't make me regret it. I told you....V......bring me back my Myra." Arthur literally cried like a child holding Sylvia close to him. He kept on shouting and growling with frustration but Sylvia only ran her fingers through his hair to sooth him. He was giant compared to her but she kept on rubbing his back. "What did you do Myra? Is this the way you have thought to free yourself from everything? Is this the way you have decided to sacrifice?"

Miles wrings his hands and stands on his tiptoes to see the turtle. “He’ll be fine,” Arthur murmurs, his arm sliding around my waist. “You don’t have to cry.” I didn’t even realize there was a tear slipping down my cheek until now. I quickly brush it away with the back of my hand and whisper thickly, “I know. I know he’ll be fine.” Arthur’s arm gently tightens around me, and he leans his head on top of mine.

For all the good that I did for him, he shouldn't have been this mean," she repeats as she breaks down into these bigger sobs, and I pull her into a hug and she gladly buries herself on my neck, and it's like she is crying all the tears she has ever had, and my heart starts to ache and at the same time, I am mad angry at Arthur.

His gaze falls on Madin, whose half-open eyes reflect exhaustion and sorrow. “You… you’ve woken up…” Arthur whispers, his voice breaking. He drops to his knees and instinctively lifts Madin’s upper body, pulling him into a tight embrace. “I’m sorry,” Arthur murmurs, tears threatening to spill. He clings to Madin as though letting go would break him completely.

My mind was shouting his name, but I couldn't scream for a few moments as I observed him fall on the floor. Then, my world turned gray as I felt that I was slowly approaching Arthur. I couldn't stop sobbing as I approached him. I felt my chest was getting numbers as the seconds passed while looking at Arthur in his state.
