Black slime started oozing out of his eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. I tried holding him down to stop him from convulsing, but he was already suffocating with the slime. "Arthur! Hang in there! Please! Arthur, don't do this. Don't die. Don't leave me. I-I can't live without you..." I pleaded. Arthur started struggling less. He was losing air. I was weeping. I embraced my brother tight. I heard him whisper, "Lowan. Be good. Sorry I couldn't protect you. I love you." His voice broke and he cackled each word. My lips trembled as I replied, "I love you Arthur. Don't leave me please."

Arthur glared at us playfully and burst into pretentious cry, he opened his mouth very wide and pretended to wail. "Mr cry baby, hit the road!" I said, smacking his head softly. "You're both ganging up on me" he said and started the car. Davis leaned towards him and wiped off Arthur's imaginary tears, then kissed Arthur's eyes.. he's imitating me there. That's what I normally do to him (Davis) when he's crying. "Baby, don't cry, momma is here" he said. Arthur and I burst into uncontrollable laughter, Davis just look between us in confusion.

No, of course not,” she laughed lightly. “Yes, you were. I saw the tears. Is it because Alpha Aiden and Uncle Damien fought? I’m sorry, Mommy,” he said, sitting up.
