A Second Chance With Arthur?
Arthur’s hands moved around my back, soothing me as I cried loudly.
“Hey, what’s wrong? You don't have to cry, I’m sorry, Carly.” He kept apologising.
“Hold me tight, Arthur. Please.” I whispered in between sobs.
I took in his smell, calming my racing heart, my trembling body that is pressed to Arthur, allowing the tears to flow down. I don't know how long I cried, and how long Arthur stood, my weight to his. But when I stopped, my eyes hurt.
I stepped backward and I shouldn't have because I lost balance.
