He was just kneeling on the ground like a defeated man, and the more time passed, the more I worried. "Arthur?" I said finally. "Say something. Anything." He started looking up slowly. I noticed how red his eyes were, like he was fighting to hold back his tears. It broke my heart to see him like this. Broke it into tiny pieces. I wanted to cry as well. I told myself I wouldn't and then I did. "Arthur?" I said again, my voice broken. Arthur stood to his full height, and he towered above me. His eyes were on my face, and those eyes were cold and unrecognizable. My heart started racing. My fear was a living and breathing thing. I feared that the worst had happened. That he didn't believe me.

Vanessa 's POV ~ " You little piece of garbage! I'll kill you right here, right now! How dare you to not go for work today? Who will pay for the food we give you? " growled Arthur while showering slaps one by one. And I just hissed. Though every nerve in my body was begging to cry... Yes, the torture was that bad! No, I'll not give him satisfaction of seeing my tears. My father doesn't deserve that...

“YOU DID THIS, WADE JOHNSON.” His eyes welled up and he fell to his knees. He let out an agonizing scream and wailed like he had lost the world. Dominic had played him like a fiddle. A dying groan pulled him out of self loathing. He looked up and found Arthur shaking on the ground, coughing up blood. Wade ran to him with tears in his eyes. “I’m so sorry,” Wade pleaded on his knees, holding Arthur’s head. Arthur coughed out more blood and tried to stabilize himself to speak.

But tonight. The more her mind processed the rejection, the more deeply insulted her system felt. Her nose tingled, her composure broke, and a torrent of heavy, unbidden tears spilled over her eyelashes. This time, her weeping was completely genuine. The raw, terrifying violence behind Arthur’s fury had truly shaken her psychological baseline. Yet, watching her sob and cry only drove Arthur’s internal irritation to an all-time high. "Cease your weeping! Every single hour of the day, your system executes nothing but endless crying! Aside from shedding tears, what alternative capability does your ledger even possess?!"

He not only talked about making Madelyn his wife but also his Luna. "My lady," Arthur was already at her side, "you're crying." Ophelia sniffed and wiped away the tears with the back of her palm. She didn't even know she was crying until she was told. "You need a hug right now," Arthur pursed his lips after letting this out and when he didn't get any response from Ophelia, he sniffed his underarms, "I've been scrubbing my underarms lately and I can guarantee they do not stink anymore."

He was trying to sound bold again, but Luther knows he was just putting it up, so he took him back to the earlier discussion. "There is a reason, you have a heart, there is a reason you feel things, and when you do feel things, you can cry, if that will make you feel better. You don't have to try and act all strong with me, I know you are hurting inside". Arthur stared deep into his friend's eyes, and allowed his tears to drop.

I reply with tears strolling down my cheeks. " Artic, please don't cry! I promise we will figure it out soon," He tells me. " You weren't able to find anything out of this one either huh?" Shawn asks, picking up the book about vampires and their mates, flicking through the pages. I go to respond to his question about the book he's holding. When his breathing becomes ragged, clutching the book in his grasp, looking at me then back at the pages, before he drops the book on the floor.

Winter snapped almost causing my left ear to go deaf. “I’m sorry sir” he said softly with his head faced down. “YOU ARE A DISAPPOINTMENT NOTHING MORE!” he yelled. “I wonder how Mr. Haze would think if he saw you right now.” I felt something wetting my hand as I slowly took a glance at my hand which was on the table just beneath Sorrows head. Tears had covered it and I knew they came from Sorrow. “Everyone you can go home” Mr. Winter quickly said. We all started packing our books and heading out.

Pearl’s P.O.V. (Continued) I slowly released a shaky breath after closing the bathroom door behind me, leaning my back on the frame. I slowly slid to the floor and hugged my knees tightly. Tears flooded out of my eyes without warning. I pursed my lips tightly to muffle my cries. Arthur was outside and could hear my cries. I moved my gaze to the roof, resting the back of my head against the doorframe. “It’s not their fault that Evan’s condition suddenly worsened.”

he muttered, attempting to reach for the beer bottle on the coffee table. I swatted his hand away playfully. "Nope, Mr. Grumpy-gills. You need some water in that system before another beer." He feigned offense, raising an eyebrow. "Ouch, babe. You wound me." His grin, however, betrayed him. "Oh, I know," I teased, leaning in for a quick peck. "So, spill the magic potion. How's the big boss feeling now?" Arthur shrugged, his gaze flickering away for a moment. "Still a bit… raw, I guess. Won't lie, seeing Vladimir again wasn't exactly a walk in the park."
