The cold wind whipped through the barren landscape as Asha and Darian trudged forward, the snow beneath their boots crunching with every step. Their breath misted in the freezing air, and the shadows of the Greywatch Spire loomed behind them, a dark silhouette against the starless sky. The sounds of pursuit—the growls of Blood Pact Beasts, the shouts of the royal guard—faded into the distance, but Asha knew it wouldn’t last. They had only just begun their flight, and the storm was far from over.

Cassian replied him and then moved his eyes to look at Maximus who stared at Julianne like he wanted something from her. “Who is she?” Maximus asked and Julianne looked at him. Not they? She thought and looked behind her to be sure if Marianne was still with her. She moved her eyes back to Cassian and heard him say; “Ash. She’s a newbie.” “It’s Julianne,” she made herself clear and got a grin from Cassian. “Or could be Jules,” the other one said. Funny! Julianne rolled her eyes at the back of her mind. Marianne tugged at Julianne’s cloth again and Julianne asked Cassian, “Where is it?”

Kael (POV) The ash came first. It slid downriver in a thin gray current, scattering through the reeds before the wind carried it inland. By the time it reached the clearing, it was only dust in the air, settling across the shoulders of those who waited. The pack stood in a wide ring, faces lit by a pale flame at the center. The night smelled of smoke and wet earth, a scent of endings that refused to fade. I stood apart near the trees, where the light thinned. The hum beneath my skin had been building all evening. It started low in my bones, then spread outward, into the ground itself, into the air that held its breath.

Hermione sang, she was wearing a beautiful black blouse with jeans. She had washed her hair and still had a faint blush on both cheeks. Her white skin gleamed like alabaster and Ruke became aware that he had not cleaned up. Hermione however ushered him out of the house, locked her door and they drove back towards the woods.

When they had found their balance and found themselves moving inside the ship with ease, they started to run and advance towards their enemies with only one goal inside their mind. Ash advanced forward as he drew 5 daggers from his belt and immediately threw it on the enemies, aiming right through their chest. 5 men collapsed to the floor as their blood spurted out, tainting the floor with another shade of dark crimson red, as Ash proceeded with pulling the trigger and fired to another 5 men in front of him. His perfect aim never withered even when he was moving at a fast pace.

POV: Rhea Mooncrest "Ash! Wake up! Please, just open your eyes and tell me you’re still there!" Rhea’s voice cracked, the sound lost in the vast, hollow emptiness of the Under-Whisper. She was kneeling in the dirt, her hands clutching Ash’s shoulders as she shook him. The golden-and-silver light that had nearly blinded her moments ago was gone, replaced by a dull, oppressive grey. The subterranean forest was no longer a place of magical wonder or terrifying shadow; it was just a cave filled with rotting wood and cold stones.
