Cameron said, sounding angry. "Fucking VIK!" Alex said, with a surprising amount of fury, "That barbarous, bloodthirsty, MOTHERFU.." he trailed off suddenly as Ash sat up, staring at him, confused. "What..?" she said sleepily, looking around at the others, before her gaze landed on the TV, now showing images of the destruction of all three buildings. Her eyes widened, and she stood, seeming to forget that she was naked apart from the blanket, that dropped to the floor.

"Glad to know the Gods are with us." Am-Heh looked up sharply, giving a low growl. Beneath Ash, the floor began to bubble like molten metal, his clothing melting and fusing to his skin. Scrambling up Ash clawed at the smouldering fabric, a howl of pain cutting through the air as a loathsome odour left him.

Jo gave him a sharp look, “Ok. What are your hobbies?” “Listening to classical music and going to the opera. I can't remember the last time I saw Carmen.” Ash replied, and saw the look Jo shot him. “What?” he asked defensively. “For someone who lives in Ganghaven, you sure do have Gulden tastes.” Jo replied. Her words brought a change to Ash's demeanor. His expression became blank, but Jo heard the tightness in his voice when he said, “Good night.” And turned the other way to sleep, leaving Jo to wonder what she'd said to trigger the change in him.

After turning into a large pine forest, the terrain became flat. "We're here!" Axel blurted out excitedly as he walked over to a raised mound of earth. He cleared away the leaves used as camouflage on top of the mound, immediately revealing an entrance large enough for a person to crawl through. Andrew and Chantelle hid behind a cluster of bushes in the shadows cast by moonlight. They watched as Axel bent down and crawled into the entrance. After Axel gave the Dire Tiger a couple of commands in the local dialect, it roared once and charged into the nearby deep mountain forest.

Just then, a small head peeked through the suffocating smoke. “Madam, do you need any help?” someone asked timidly. I forced my eyes open and saw a young boy who was about the same age as my son. He was covered in ash and dirt, but his eyes shone brightly through the smoke. He was so small in size, yet he managed to muster the strength to help me up. Then, together, we slowly made our way outside. The path to the outside was incredibly challenging, and I felt like giving up several times.

Even I leaned closer, surreptitiously, just so I could hear properly. “That's what I said!” Victoria hissed, her hands in tight fists. She looked like she wanted to visibly hit something, and I prayed it wasn't Lana. “No! You said you didn't think he really liked me.” Lana hissed back, leaning towards Victoria.
