"Give me the name, Randolph." Belishaw struggled to stay silent, but it was like trying to catch grains of sand. Sinclair sighed and lifted the scalpel. This time he didn't move out of anger. He flicked his wrist and sliced Belishaw's other cheek. A cry escaped his lips, but he did not let the name out. Sinclair set his weapon down. "I wonder if I need to bring additional motivation for you? Perhaps the human woman you've been seeing. Jodie Harkness? Would she loosen your tongue if I had her to play with?"

"The lab resequenced your sample with our high resolution protocol. The results are absolute. You are her only survival vector." ​"Look at her, Seraphina," Harrison whispered, stepping closer to me. He pointed a long finger toward the glass. ​Inside the room, Chloe’s body convulsed slightly, a high pitched alarm screaming from the monitor as two nurses rushed to her bedside, pumping medication directly into her IV line. ​"She is nineteen years old," Harrison said into my ear, his breath cold against my skin. "Your blood line ruined her mother's life. Now, your marrow can save hers. Or will you let your hatred for me kill an innocent girl?"

The scolding and the sharp slap of words came together. “You…” Liz stared in surprise at Asher, who pushed through the crowd, holding a paper cup of coffee and carrying a backpack. “Were they the ones barking all this time?” Asher casually pointed at Lana and Laura. Liz’s two “friends” were shocked and stared at Asher. His appearance was unexpected, as was his handsome face. Asher tied his slightly long hair back, pulling away the strands that usually covered part of his face, revealing his features perfectly—and they were perfect. His appearance was casual, wearing a denim jacket and a white T-shirt, but still flawless, supported entirely by his rugged, masculine Italian looks.

Ashr pulled me into his arms and kissed me. "Be my boyfriend Zax, please, I swear I'll remain faithful and true to only you," he said sincerely. I looked at him and replied,"sure Ashr, I'd be honored." So Ashr and I were going steady. We both showered together. I rubbed the blue medicine on my asshole and felt fantastic. Apparently Ashr had taken a lot of the canisters and had them stored in his lower levels. We are currently sitting in the living room with maps spread out trying to decide where to have our mound. Rhea screamed, her voice echoing across the Wastes. "Bring him down!" The shadow-beasts redoubled their efforts, a massive, writhing ball of darkness slamming into the Shadow-Ash and hurling him out of the sky. He hit the ice-shelf with the force of a falling star, the shockwave shattering the remaining pillars and sending a cloud of sapphire dust into the air.

Beryl’s face wasn’t any less redder. Asher cleared his throat. “I’m sorry, I have something urgent to attend to, I can’t stay.” Beryl blinked some more before nodding. “Okay. It’s fine.” “My name is Asher,” he told her. “I’m His Majesty’s Beta.” “I’m Beryl from the Beaver Pack,” she told him. “I’m a healer taking care of Lyra at the moment.” “Can I see you later tonight?” Asher asked her. “If you’ll be free, that is.”

She could only turn to face Idaliah, her trembling lips stretching in an ugly smile. Idaliah's tears rained down, wetting her newly dried eyes. But instead of crying for the second time, she swallowes the lump in her throat, straightened, then wiped her tears. "Then... be strong for us, Addie," she whispered, her voice holding a newfound strength despite the dryness. "And for Xavier." She stood up, and soon the cell was filled with the sounds of chains hitting the floor. Idaliah flashed her a tearful smile, closed her eyes and bowed her head with her right hand on her chest.

Using a single bullet each, I take them all out. I watch as Xavier runs from the forest, heading in the direction of Jax. He smiles as he sees a series of orange marks all over Jax. "Dude, you're not actually dead. They're just paintballs." "Ah, that may be true, but my pride is still injured."

If luckily Hera proves herself worthy and its instinct is drawn fully to her, it won't harm her.
