My eyes widened as he said those words. Mist started to cover the borderline. Making everyone freeze in their spots. They stare at the mist. Mia’s heart started to beat so loudly, even Roman could hear it. Roman kept his pose. Humming sounds came from the mist. Then three women emerged from the mist. Only one walked towards them at a slow pace. Asher grabbed Mia’s chains and made her stand up and dragged her toward the woman. Meeting halfway, they stopped. Asher waits for the Lothian to speak first.

Everett replied, "no, but we will jump." Everett jumped from the castle tower. She screamed in shock and hugged Everett's body. Everett jumped on every tree and stopped at one of the taller trees. Everett said, "it's alright, you can open your eyes now." She opened her eyes and was fascinated by the beauty of the realm of black mist. There is a colourful light that looks like a galaxy. She thought frightening darkness only surrounded the realm of Black Mist. But that darkness also looks beautiful. "Should we continue our journey? Don't close your eyes," Everett said.

Misty shouted and raised her hands, in unison with the loud music. The boys that were there approached and glanced at her and the funny thing was that they left their girl companions just to go to her. The girls looked at her sharply. Misty laughed softly and shook slightly. ‘Oh C’mon! Don’t look at me like that! I know I’m a goddess and it’s not my fault that you’re not. I look like a queen and you all are my slaves, bitch!’ she shouted in her mind and raised an eyebrow at the girls who looked angrily at her, at the same time parting her hair and grinding even harder.

Light,silver and ghostly—seeped into the cellar cracks, swirling across the floor like mist searching for a body. My body.I backed away… but the mist followed. Ruby leapt between me and the spreading frost. “Stay behind me.” The Winter King chuckled softly. It slid down the stairs like a cold hand down my spine. “You cannot shield her, mortal.” “She’s under my protection!” Rowan barked.“She always was mine.” My chest tightened painfully at those words.Ruby didn’t miss the way I stiffened. “Don’t listen to him. He twists truth into traps.”

Come to me alone. She shook her head to clear it. “Do you hear that?” she asked. “Hear what?” Silas’s eyes scanned the mist. “Nothing,” she lied, again. She stepped onto the path before she could think better of it. The stone under her boots was warm. The others followed, weapons drawn, eyes darting to every flicker in the fog. The mist thickened as they walked, rising to their knees, then their waists. Their outlines blurred. Ava could barely see Silas ahead of her.

However, when the man felt the tears of despair of the woman he was courting, guilt slowly set in. “She’s inside. She’s been waiting for you two. Follow us.” Still holding hands, Xander and I followed the two men. Xander’s grip on my hand tightened when he felt my hand turn cold. “Relax,” he whispered softly. I just nodded. Inside the warehouse, there was a dim light. The men led us to a large rusted door. They opened it and brought us inside. My eyes widened when we saw Alexis sitting on a wooden chair — blindfolded, hands and feet tied, and his mouth gagged. I was about to run to him, but Xander tightly grabbed my hand. I turned to him, about to say something, but noticed he was staring seriously at something in the darker part of the room. I followed his gaze.

Maya grumbled smugly, practically screaming her hatred for Tristan. I didn’t have to look to know Alpha Asher had a smug expression on his face, aimed directly at Tristan. After an irritated snarl, Tristan turned his intense gaze to me. His blue eyes burned into my own, calling out to the small shard of me that longed for him. I turned my head away from his own, determined to chase away the trail of heat his eyes left along my skin.
