Alpha's Rejected Secret
For a moment, Aria thought she might split apart.
“No!” she snarled, her voice layered—hers and something other, echoing like thunder. White light flared from her skin, rippling outward in a shockwave that sent rogues flying. The ground split in jagged lines, flames searing the edges of the battlefield.
Killian shielded his eyes, his jaw clenched. “Moon above…”
When the light dimmed, silence followed. Dozens of rogues lay unconscious or dead, their bodies smoldering. The red-eyed stranger, however, remained standing. He tilted his head, lips curling in wicked satisfaction.
