We ordered for sandwiches and chips and it was delivered a few minutes later. Astrid's eyes lit up with joy and she abruptly pushed her phone in my face. "Freya, I came across a crazy recipe online – spicy chicken stuffed French fries!" With my mouth full of sandwich, I raised an eyebrow. "How the heck? That seems quite superb. Astrid gave a fervent nod. "Yes? Yes, but I have to give it a shot. It's the ideal balance of salty and sweet flavors." I laughed and gulped down each bite. "You and your weird obsession with food. Pizza dipped in chocolate—what's next? You no longer enjoy sandwiches?"

What happened? Astrid cried even harder and said, "please don't talk about eating, those people... they... they.... yesterday they fed me alive bugs they forced me to eat cockroaches and..." Astrid couldn't speak anymore as she puked, while Hayley felt her skin crawl when she heard this. Those people have really gone too far this time. They have crossed the limits. After Astrid was done puking, Hayley gave her some water and then made her sit down on the bed and asked her, "would you like to take revenge?"

"Astrid," I shrieked in shock, surprised at her actions. "Slut," Astrid shouted. "You did this," she hissed, her eyes narrowed. " Astrid, please," I begged. My eyes moved to Hades who stood quietly on the platform watching as the scene unfolded before him. "Hades," I called in a small voice, tears welling up in my eyes.

Not only what are her favorites food, but the little things like how she likes the bread broken, not cut with a knife, how she likes her eggs softer... How she looks at her... That makes her the happiest. But it also makes her stomach tighten with guilt. He is so excited, he is so sincere and caring. And she... she doesn't want to carry his child... their child. She will be a terrible mother and she will ruin his happiness.

Flames burst out, licking the air with a hungry crackle, the heat rolling across the room, curling the edge of the lab table. The firelight danced in Astrid's eyes, but I was done waiting. I lunged forward, grabbing her hair, yanking her back, and she let the fire loose.

She stood up from her seat and walked towards the woman. She stood in front of her, and a hot slap landed on the woman’s face. Astrid spat on the woman as she cursed, “Bitch, how dare you talk back at me? Do you know who I am? I can get you executed with your little bastard, and there is nothing you can do about it.” The woman held her burning cheek, and she did not dare make a sound. Seeing that she was not making any sound, Astrid snatched the baby from the woman’s arms and threw him on the ground. The baby wailed loudly, and the other people in the camp couldn’t bear to watch anymore. But they were too afraid to say anything.
