Her Eyes of Emerald and Fire
She runs her fingers through her hair, thinking,
Kai watches Eliza, then moves his queen to take Jessie’s bishop. She groans and taps her chin; she looks so much older than nine when she does that. Eliza huffs and groans,
“Fine. I’ll talk to him.” She mutters for a moment and then smiles, “Sol, I forgive you. Or at least, I will.” Her eyeline which had been at the standard seven ish feet of Sol’s eyeline suddenly drops to lower than her waist. Like he’d dropped to his knees in relief, or supplication? A God on his knees to a mortal? Well, an immortal demi-goddess, but still. “Oh, come on, up! Sol, get up, you’re the God of the sun for crying out loud.” And her eyes go back up again.
