The Fall

The Fall

There were only a couple of other kids that chose to read over the computers. I browsed the bookshelf searching for a book to read, my step-father set fire to all my books in the wheel barrow when he first moved in with us. I picked a book up from the shelf, my father had bought me it before he died, I was surprised to see it in a school library. The Darkest Minds. I found my way over to a comfy seat in the corner of the room. Fishing out my glasses from my bag I made sure no one was looking before I put them on. "Hey." A boy interupted me three chapters in. "I'm Aaron." Peeking up from behind my book I saw a guy staring at me with a huge grin on his face. I had no idea how long he had been

His hidden heir

His hidden heir

Alicia looked up from her laptop as her son ran toward her, paper flapping in his hand. Aiden. Five years old. Dark wavy hair that never stayed in place. Brown eyes that sparkled with mischief. Alex’s sharp jawline and high cheekbones on a cherubic face. “What is it, baby?” “It’s us! You, me, and Aunt Zawa! Can we put it on the fwidge?” “The fridge,” she corrected, “Come on say it, Fr-idge. “Fwidge!” He grinned, missing his front tooth. She laughed despite herself. “Yes, we can put it up.”

The heart of a soldier

The heart of a soldier

Meg chirped out as she happily stormed in and straight to the old lady that was sorting some books on the bookcase on the right side of the entrance in the store. “O Megan, Matthew, hello. Wonderful to see you both in here.” She lovingly said as she greeted them both. "Hello, Mrs. Abbott." Smiling Matt greeted back and went to look around the shop while his sister finished her business. “Mrs. Abbott, I came for the book order I got and was told it finally came.” Meg looked as she was like an excited child squirming on her legs impatiently to get a hold of her favorite chocolate candy. “Oh yes yes, I do. Give me a minute to go get the package dear, I will be right back with you.”

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

Ares’ P.O.V. I watched Auggie train like never before. There were no arguments between him and mom the entire time. I had seen it, seen the letter, the sand, and the apology. I knew what was going to happen, but it still surprised me to see. Auggie was changing before me, and it was for the better. Mom seemed so happy today, too. The corners of her mouth stayed turned up just a quarter of an inch all day.

I absolutely love every book of Rae Knight's I have read, and this one is no exception. Vivid characters you will fall in love with. One of very few authors that can surprise me with twists and turns. Her universe comes alive, and each book brings you deeper into it. Fantastic book so far!

Gone Too Long, The CEO Becomes A World-Class Doting Husband

Gone Too Long, The CEO Becomes A World-Class Doting Husband

Thanks to their big brother, they were brighter than the average two-year-olds. Autumn and Maeve were very close to Aiden. He was always protective and attentive to them whenever he was home and had no homework. Aside from playing with his sisters, he sometimes read them books before bed. Aiden had bought the girls books about fundamental gravity, basic mathematics, and simple quantum physics for toddlers. When the girls were eighteen months old, he taught them about atoms, protons, and electrons. At first, the girls could only see balls and circles, but gradually, they could differentiate the names through images. They were baby steps, but he was proud of his sisters.

Another heart felt story. I love how Lucas loves Lilly even to the point of risking his own life for her safety. NGL Lilly almost broke my heart the way she was so cold to Lucas on that park ride. Lucas just wanted to be loved by the one that he loved without any guilt from her. Loved the book!
Good Novel

Falling For My Stepbrother On Ice

Falling For My Stepbrother On Ice

I was avoiding that man like a plague. But even though I was scared of being alone, I forced myself to nod. "I'll be fine." "Are you sure?" I nodded. "Mm hmm." "Are you sure you're sure?" "Augie!" I warned, then tried to joke. "I can probably pick up your copy of The Brothers Karamazov and finally start reading some real literature." He laughed. "You'd love it." He turned to head toward his room, but I stopped him with a hand on his arm. "August."

Sparks Fly

Sparks Fly

Lucas rambled in a low voice with a frown on his rather chiselled face, he honestly was very nervous and so he was making excuses. “Oh right, you don’t know him.” Austin let out a laugh, confusing Lucas. “He won’t ever refuse going anywhere with little children, and he’s very adjusting so don’t worry about him being uncomfortable, in fact, for you, it would feel as if you’re going around with two toddlers, because Auggie’s mental age is like 4.” Austin added, speaking out the last part loud enough for the brown haired to hear, and he was rewarded with an offended gasp from Augustus.

Starting Again and Falling For Him

Starting Again and Falling For Him

They stopped for brunch at a small cafe on the way. "Ugh. I never drink like that. I was absolutely trollied last night. I blame you both." Auggie snarled. "You sound pathetic. You didn't seem too miffed when I found you in the pool house this morning with two girls. One with her knickers on and one without." Erik slugged him in the arm. "I was a perfect gentleman." Auggie said, defending himself. "I just hope I'm not too knackered to play today. I'm afraid if I run too hard I'll chunder up this brunch torte and mum will have my arse."

West Ora Academy: Raising Elara

West Ora Academy: Raising Elara

I peered into Jesse's future but all I was greeted with was darkness, frightening me to my core. "Why are you so calm?!" I yelled at him, feeling the panic rise in me. "Remember daddy, pause and take a breath," El's little voice cut through me. I looked at her in Auggie's arms and suddenly understood. He was being calm for her sake and some how I was the one fucking everything up. When did Auggie become the sensible one?
