A torrent of light swallowed him. --- [Flashback – Two centuries ago] Valestra Sanctuary, the ancestral land of vampires before Valenfort was built. Lucien opened his eyes. He stood in a hall of black stone, surrounded by hundreds of pure-blood vampires kneeling in ritual. On the high throne sat a man with a face identical to his own, except his eyes burned with absolute ambition – Azrael Draven, the First Blood King. Before Azrael knelt a girl with moon-white hair, eyes gentle yet filled with boundless sorrow. She wore a blood-stained white robe, wrists bound in silver shackles.

But she didn’t feel dangerous tonight. She felt…abandoned. And then—her phone buzzed. Unknown number. A text message. Just one line. “You’re not the only one who bleeds for legacy. —L” Her breath caught. Her lips parted. She reread it. Legacy. That word wasn’t just a crown. It was a curse. Helena didn’t sleep that night. The next morning, she walked into the corporate vault, where all classified family documents were stored. Her ID scanned. She walked past her father’s original contracts, her mother’s secret archives, and paused at the file labeled:

"Is that what you thought? That sleeping with a woman would somehow rewire my brain? My heart? That you could fuck the gay out of me?" "No Lancaster man has ever had such desires before." His voice turns dangerously quiet, like the calm before a tornado. "Five generations of honorable men, building a legacy you seem determined to destroy." My hands clench into fists so tight my nails draw blood from my palms. "So that's it? I'm a genetic mistake? The first Lancaster to break your precious mold?"

Lyra's POV A loud banging on my door jolted me awake. My heart began racing. I knew it meant another round of beatings and torture, that's all it ever meant. Dragging my exhausted body off the old mattress, I walked toward the door. Before i could open it, a voice yelled. "Seems you've forgotten where you are and what you're meant to do, you slave!" a voice yelled. My name is Lyra Avalon, the only surviving member of my family. My parents and brother died fighting a war for the wolves.

She just needed to get through this and then life would go on as normal. “I am also lycan,” she whispered out. “You all knew my father – Russell Heron. He was a great blacksmith.” There is murmuring of agreement. Most the Lycans constantly got their armory repaired by him. “And all of you I suspect are familiar with the Archer Legacy. The legendary Archer bloodline that was chosen has to slay the vampiress--”

Daniel replied with a head nod. "I know you have your plan, but I still think that this cannot work," Levi said simply. The families were at war, but especially for him, Lila was his archnemesis; they could never be tied in marriage no matter what plots their parents were trying to do. He was sure that she would be saying the same thing as well.

There was a brief silence on the other end. "Fine! That's how we'll do it!" Finally, Olivia made the decision. "You'll open it at the gala. But you'd better not try any tricks, or I'll make sure you regret it!" "I-I wouldn't dare, Mom," I quickly promised. After hanging up, Abby and I exchanged a look. We saw the same cold desire for revenge in each other's eyes. Three days later, the first snow fell over the city. A grand show was about to begin.

assured Daniel. "He has always been manipulative and competent," murmured Leo in his mind. The nostalgia, the yearning and the desire to tread old ground flowed from Pandora’s box the moment he saw Rachel with her son, who resembled him closely. It was a lid Leo wanted to try to slam open and certainly struggled to conjure a happy ending. Later, Rachel basked in a large bathtub filled with warm water mixed with just the right amount of Epsom salt, scented lavender and rosemary herbs while Alex slept for the night.

They became the rulers of the land and its royal blood. "Why don't you focus on completing the task you have with the Alpha and not anything else? In a few months, all of this will be a memory fast forgotten." His voice comes off stern and demanding, but I don’t believe this is a moment in my life I can ever recover from. "Only a legacy werewolf can do what just happened out there. There's just one in existence and he sits on Carodia's throne." "I'm not patient, Marelyn Everdeen, and neither do I like pests." He shoves the door open.

Azreal was cut off when his daughter exploded with a thunderous growl, “stop it dad! That's not true, and I am so tired of you picking on us, just- just go away! Leave us alone!” Azreal’s mouth dropped open as he watched Mathew try to console his offspring into coming down, but she only held on to him tighter and sobbed. To the Alpha’s surprise several pack members placed their hands on his back and shoulders in support, “don’t worry Alpha… we will watch the young lovebirds, make sure they stay young,” an elderly man croaked and Azreal put a grateful hand out for him to take, and the aged man only laughed and gave the Alpha a respective salute, “it is my honor to serve Alpha, I served your f
