"This will not take long and then we can get back to the party. And you can spend time with her, I promise okay?" He nods and huffs dramatically but leaves the Park going back to our own space within the Spirit Realm.

The next day, a little after 11 a.m., Eddie stood at the arrival gate holding a large, garish sign. Hazel, wearing sunglasses and a mask, stood beside him, her face completely concealed. After all, Eddie’s sign was the epitome of humiliation. It screamed, 'Welcome Home, Lord Xander and Lady Sully, Rulers of the Kingdom of Awesome!' in glittery neon pink, complete with a couple of misspelled words and stick figures holding hands under a lopsided rainbow. To top it off, Eddie had drawn a crown on Xander’s head and a tiara on Sully’s—with an unfortunate resemblance to a UFO.

Did he really think I was speaking rhetorically? "An Avatar is like you and me, but they can do so much more, you could be a berserker with magic, you could be a wizard with swordsmanship, there's even this girl in the capital, a tank healer and she can control spirits, imagine this talent when she is older!"

Then a single message flashed across the largest screen. “You should have stayed out of it, Ava.” My breath caught. Beneath the message, a symbol appeared. A stylized “V.” Twisted into a crown. Liam stepped closer. “That’s her signature.” And then… another line of text appeared. “It begins tonight.”

I asked staring at the long line of people. “Happy birthday,Ava.” He said bringing out two tickets to a fan signing event of Xavier Blackwood. “You've got to be joking Caleb.” I muttered on the verge of tears as I held the tickets. “Does this looks like a joke?” He said pointing towards a black Lamborghini that drove into the building. We looked like we'd been arrested and handcuffed together. The attendant from earlier stepped forward again, bringing what looked like a very, very ancient scroll, the edges of it tattered. I used the blood on my palm to sign my full name, watched as the attendant checked it and then offered the parchment to Ayame, who also signed her full name.

We just binge watched Avatar: The Last Airbender that Caine chose so I decided to choose an all time favorite, Teen Titans Go. "Ugh! Really? Teen Titans Go is so lame! I'd rather watch the Teen Titans." Caine has been whining about everything I wanted to watch but I had to put my foot down on this one.

I watch in horror as my mother’s mouth opens wide revealing rows and rows of teeth, each fang dripping with blood, I close my eyes, ready for the inevitable. “Stop!” a powerful voice calls. Mother stops in her tracks staring at the intruder with annoyance. It’s a tall handsome man with shaggy blonde hair and the prettiest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. He’s holding a big golden net in his arms. Mother screams bloody murder as she lunges at him, he throws the net and it lands on her forcing her to the floor. She can’t move anymore, she’s trapped. ‘Hey you’re safe now,’ he says to me using sign language, ‘I won’t let anyone hurt you.’
