A concentrated barrage of iridescent blue sub-ether beams slammed into the Leviathan's broadside. But the beams didn't format the armor. A localized, swirling black gravity-well shimmered to life across the dreadnought's hull. The sheer density of the Abyssal shielding bent the Origin-Code beams, scattering the sub-ether harmlessly into the storm. "The cannons are useless!" I yelled, my heart hammering against my ribs. "Its hull is coated in a gravity-matrix! It's too dense to format from the outside!" The Leviathan’s jaws snapped fully open. The massive acoustic-siege batteries in its mouth glowed with a blinding, concentrated green light.

“You heard him. Let’s keep the ugly one busy.” The Leviathan reared, pulling half its mass out of the water. Its bulk towered above them; its body was made of ship fragments, chains, and dark foam, towering higher than the tallest crane. It slammed both limbs down. Alessia lifted both hands. Her luminous eyes surged. Two pillars of silver-shadow energy shot into the creature’s arms, meeting the blow head-on. The force cracked the dock, but it held. Alessia’s boots dug a fraction into the planks.

For a moment, a fragile peace settled over the turbulent ocean. "They're listening," Jade breathed. But the moment of peace was shattered. From the main Aegis drone, a pillar of green light shot down, not at them, but at the ocean beside them. THWUMMM! A massive, armored submersible—larger than any battleship—burst from the depths, its massive cannons already cycling. "That's the Leviathan," Aris warned, her voice laced with terror.
